I liked the story, in which a man quits his ho-hum job, after learning hat he had inherited an Inn, only to find out after transplanting his family that it's run-down. He goes toe-to-toe against the town villain who wants it for his own purposes, which are purely monetary. The Disney movie is far better with a far better finale and resolution. The characters didn't come to life and much of the humor fell flat. It was a fun read, however, but I had hoped for a little more. Watch the movie!
