Barbara Elsborg lives in Kent in the south of England. She always wanted to be a spy, but having confessed to everyone without them even resorting to torture, she decided it was not for her. Volcanology scorched her feet. A morbid fear of sharks put paid to marine biology. So instead, she spent several years successfully selling cyanide.

After dragging up two rotten, ungrateful children and frustrating her sexy, devoted, wonderful husband (who can now stop twisting her arm) she finally has time to conduct an affair with an electrifying plugged-in male, her laptop.

Her books feature quirky heroines and bad boys, and she hopes they are as much fun to read as they are to write.

This was such a sweet story!

Of course Barbara Elsborg fills The Small Print with adventure, drama, and mystery. But it is also chock full of love and romance and heartwarming moments.

There are excellent bad guys, some wonderfully clever plot twists, and a very happily ever after for our heros and heroine!

A brilliant smut PNR story. A vampire, a were-vampire and a ghost (or something like a ghost) will have many adventures, a lot of understanding and a huge amount of hot, sexy scenes and will become an item.
Turner is dark, brood, elegant, cool, cautious and he thinks too much.
Catch is blond, scruffy, energetic and usually acts before he thinks.
Matt is funny, playful and she geniually cares for both of them.
Instant lust, instant love are major parts of the book.
How can't you just melt when you read things such as:
"You make me feel everything suddenly has meaning. I have been waiting you for years. What the fuck took you so long?"

Firstly I love Barbara Elsborg's books anyway. So when I saw this was a paranormal i sat up and went gimmie gimmie gimmie. I love brooding vamps and sexy werewolves, and boy oh boy did she deliver.
Yikes!! Sexy, steamy, and just plain hot!

I hate doing a whole synopsis so I'm not going to. I am crap at them anyway and you would just be bored! So I can only recommend this one. Just be cautioned that it is seriously steamy with lots of m/m action and m/f/m action!
There where times that I was seriously confused and a bit lost in the plot. But never fear as all is revealed and you wont be left hanging!
Thank you Barbara for another awesome read!

This is my second book by this author and man, I was not disappointed! If you like MMF erotica and paranormal with a heavy plot, you won't go wrong here. Not only is this a 5 star read for being an erotica book, but the plot and characters were done extremely well.

Quick Rundown: Something's up with our Chick whose family home/compound is being sold with the small print included and overlooked that she's to be allowed to live in the attic for the rest of her life. WTF? There's a reason for this and it eventually comes to light. Dude who happens to be a Vampire and a historian purchases the estate in hopes of eluding the bad guys he was once associated with who've just come out of Vampire Jail. Then enters Dude #2 (we'll just call him Were Dude though he's half and half) who has come to protect Dude #1 from the bad guys who he knows are going to skip probation and attack him for the ancient translations he's working on that had been believed to be the secret for allowing vampires to walk in the sun. Everything gets deeper as the story progresses, no pun intended but there's that, too.

Characterization: Really, really good for erotica. The chick's personality is vibrant and I found her lovable. Vamp Dude's character really evolved throughout the book and his background and current situation revealed more of him as one goes along. Were Dude had quite a past but it was a little glossed over. He was still interesting but the elephant in the room could have been addressed a little more than it was. The secondary characters were also well done. Despite being paranormal, they all made sense and were individuals with clear personalities. And I was never "told" how they were, I "felt" it. The Big Bad was a no-brainer but also well done.

Plot: Since I picked this book up after reading another by the same author, I should have known that this would be more than hot and nasty sex and it was! There are some clues dropped here and there about one part of the plot, but I was never able to guess what the outcome was going to be until the problem came to light. And there was involvement in the main plot point by secondary characters that I never saw coming. There were about 3 or 4 cheesy lines and a few plot holes but those weren't big enough to really bother me, I just noticed them. There's a ton of sex- MM, MF and MMF- almost too much as I think I ended up skimming the last couple scenes at the end. But the ending was not disappointing. I got plenty and even though I didn't want to let the characters go, I didn't feel the need for a sequel. It was wrapped up pretty good.

Overall: I can't believe I'm rating this book 5 stars but I was captivated by the characters and the plot. And the sex scenes were uber-hot. Great read and will be picking up more from this author!

Not my favorite Barbara Elsborg story, but a good one. I read it on my Kindle and forgot it was an Ellora's Cave publication, so I was annoyed by the number of sex scenes. There are many, many sex scenes in every combination of m/m, m/f, and m/f/m between the hero, the other hero and the heroine. While heavy on the sex, the book is light on plot and character development, which is a shame because what was there was fantastic and made me want more of it.

As always, I'll be looking for the next BE novel.

********** Contain Some Spoilers**********

I thought this was a good book. This book features Turner, a vampire historian who has been keeping a low profile for the last twenty years and has had his eye of Milford Hall for years, and has recently brought it. Matty the previous owner wont leave, and lives in the attic. No matter how many times Turner tries to get her to leave. She tells him that she has rights to live there, which he doesn’t believe but she locates the contract that Turner signed for the purchase of Milford Hall that states the rightful owner Maddy has rights to live in the attic for as long as she likes. It took awhile for me to warm up to Turner as he was very grumpy, especially where Matty was concerned but all made more sense when Turner’s ex-lover were-vampire Catch shows up to protect Turner from the danger that he saved him from twenty years prior, as Turner had been recruited into a cult that was trying to find proof that vampires came from another planet, and that they used to be able to go into the sun.

Catch told Turner what to say in order to keep him out of jail, but it also discredited him as a historian. Catch has kept his distance from Turner for the last twenty years to keep him safe but now that Gabriel and Dava are out of jail he knows that they’ll eventually come after Turner for the information he holds. Turner was hurt by Catch’s actions, as he thought that Catch used him and became his lover as a way to get close to him for the cult, but Turner is actually his mate. That’s why he tries to keep his distance from Matty as well as he knows that she’ll most likely end up in danger when Gabriel and Dava show up wanting the information. When Catch meets Matty he feels an instant connection to her, just like he had Turner. Turns out Matty is also his mate. Please note that as soon as the bad guys show up the whole situation is wrapped up pretty quickly. Will Turner, Matty and Catch find a way to make things work between them all and will they be able to unravel the mystery of what happened to Matty and the reason why she’s only visible to those with vampire blood? I’m looking forward to reading more books from Barbara Elsborg in the future. I’d recommend this book and author.

I truly am a Barbara Elsborg fan and I mean big time. I absolutely love her writing style, it's so easy to digest, no great big chapters winding on about inconsequential pleasantries, it's just full on action and no waffle whatsoever. Now I have to say I am not a menage a trois reader but boy is this book HOT HOT HOT!!! It's high setting sauna material, yep it's so steamy and yet the underlying story is just downright cool too and you can't help but be drawn into Matty's world and enjoy it. This book and like all Barbara's others I have read have a really prominent story as well as the great steamy scenes. I totally loved Catch, Turner and Matty, their story is a great one to read and I am so glad I did.

I really enjoyed this book, stayed up all night reading it. Barbara's writing really seems to suck me in. As much as conflict is needed, Im glad that there wasn't so much of the stereotypical miscommunication amongst the 3 main characters, secrets of course but not a bunch of avoidable miscommunication and issues. There was a lot of really hot sex scenes, and I loved that the main female character seems like she would be so innocent but she proves otherwise. I dont think its in the cards but I could definitely see a follow up being made.

I have read several books by Barbra Elsborg and I really love her! This book was ok but I couldn't get attached to the characters which is unusual for me when reading her books. I didn't feel like there was any depth to the story of each individual or a history shared that really made me grab on to them. The story line was ok but the writing in this would make me feel it was one of her earlier books.

Well for the 1st time Elsborg really didn't rope me in. I didn't really see what the men saw in the MC. She was insecure & a bit hysterical. Also kind of dumbed down too. So b'c of this, I could really care less about what happened & the sex scenes didn't do anything for me. They just became superfluous by the end.

One of the most imaginative plots I've ever read and how can you not love a story that has such powerful characters like Turner? An arrogant vamp who gets lost, can't tell right from left, and gives his heart so completely. This is top of my list for a re-read.

Not my favorite Elsborg book. The story was too jumbled and complex. There were way too many elements and different things going on that the story was not streamlined or easy to read. Always love Elsborg's characters and great sex though!

Absolutely loved it!

Wasn't 100% sure how the story would work from the sample, but it was fast paced and really superbly done.

Kind of wish there was more, even though I don't like cliff hangers, and this thankfully has HEA.

Good. It was nice to see another theory of where vampires come from. :)
