I am a mother, a spouse, a writer, an editor, a marketer, and a part-time farmer. I grow, build, remodel and fix things. I spent over 25 years in a tech career that I didn't love but still excelled in. Now, I make books. Some I write myself. Some are the works of others. I live in a hollow surrounded by trees, a little piece of paradise in Pennsylvania, with my wife, our last teenage son, goats, chickens, dogs and occasionally pigs, turkeys, deer, ducks, and many other varieties of birds and wildlife.
Writing the State Changers series was the most fun I have had professionally, ever. The process of writing is like coming home. It is powerful and humbling at the same time. Casidhe became so real to me, inspiring and guiding me as we found our way through the words and pages together. I sincerely hope readers love her story as much as I have. I heard a quote recently and it made me think of writing this series. "If it delights, it delights." Writing the State Changer series truly delighted me.
I have always loved books, and almost never can part with them once they find their way into my library. I can think of no other job I am more clearly suited to. Sunbury Press' moto is, "Continue the Enlightenment!" Who wouldn't want to be a part of that?
This is a very interesting book, that talks about the Mayan Calendar. 2012, the end of the world. But it's not what we commonly known, where there's destruction of earth. The story is very exciting, and you can't put it down till you find out what happened. In this story, it is not the end, but the beginning of a new level of consciousness of human beings. We are entering the spiritual aspects of our universe. I'd like to re read it it again, before I make a detailed review on this. BUt I beleive it's a real good piece of information. We're all so scared of the end of the world, and yet we dont really know if and when it will happen.
Intriguing (and unexpected) how the author mixes new age and self-help with action/fiction. The beginning of this book is exciting and immediately transports you into ancient Mayan caves where archaeologists encounter the discovery of a lifetime. The characters are fleshed out rather well, however I lost interest 1/2 of the way into the book but forced myself to finish it.
Despite its occasional weak phrasing and obvious monologues on positive thinking, it was a worthwhile pursuit...“The 100th Human” novel puts your toe in the self-help sea, but it’s up to you to step in. More at 60secondreview.blogspot.com
I give the book high marks because its message transcends the quality of the writing. (Didn't think I'd make it past the first few chapters, but I'm glad I did.)
A book that offers 8 key insights into life. The 100th Human is a great story with an extremely powerful message. It is one of the few books that I have read twice!
