She'd been caught in her own trap! Tara had never intended to actually marry the Most Noble Baron Falcon Falzon of Malta.
He had treated her younger sister, Aithne, shamefully when she was there on holiday, and Tara had devised a suitable form of revenge. She would make him want to marry her, and then jilt him at the altar in front of all his friends.
But all Tara's careful plans went hopelessly awry, and she found herself married to Falcon...
2.5 stars. Sometimes you read a book where you know the story-line is stupid but you hope that the author surprises you and do justice to it. This was one of those books but it didn't come together as I would have liked. The hero seemed weak to me for accepting the heroine's abuse and the heroine was TSTL for believing her sister. This one should have been better.

I found Tara foiling her own plan quite amusing. I found her lack of perception into the wily, deceptive ways of her sister quite maddening. It was terribly sad that she wasted so much time and put the Baron through so much crap because she couldn’t come to the realization sooner that she was in love with him and he was innocent of the actions her sister doled upon him. Tara’s dad disgusted me. I loved Bridget, Tara’s nanny who loves Tara as if she were her own daughter. Of course Bridget raised her so I can understand those feelings. Falcon (the Baron) seems the perfect mate but alas men like that don’t exist in the real world…only in fairy tales.
