Jonny Maxwell is loose in Middle America. A trail of bodies left in his wake. He was once America's best. A member of Project Dominance Rain, an elite cauldron of the cream of America's military and intelligence community, his betrayal has brought dishonor to his team, and now they must send in the one man who knew Maxwell best, Master Sergeant Dale Miller. They fought side by side. They watched each other's back in the world's hot spots. Maxwell and Miller know each other's tactics, they know each other's mind, and they both understand their mission: kill or be killed.
Marcus Wynne is a charter member of The Been There, Done That Club. He's got all the T-shirts and knows all the secret handshakes. He enjoys poetry, ballet, knife fighting, and serial monogamy with fierce feminists. He is the author of multiple best-selling thrillers and urban fantasies. When he's not busy telling lies for money as a fictioneer, he runs a research and development company for the Department of Defense. He's honored to provide training and consultation to the finest warriors in the world.
Wynne is a former operator and as such, this novel has a seat-gripping quality for its realistic scenes. The main character was one of America's best and most skilled operators. Now he's on a killing spree across America. Slow in parts, but high on the psychological thrill, the reader constantly questioning why.
Well done, fast paced action with decent character development. Author seemed to have solid knowledge of weapons and tactics which is key to a successful story of this nature. Overall, an entertaining story I'd recommend .
Absolutely hardcore! I love the attention to detail especially with weapons & tactics. The fatal funnel scene was brutal & rightfully so. I strongly recommend all three books in the Trilogy.
Great thriller/police procedural in terms of suspense and action. It's a very gritty story with graphic violence. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I appreciated the writing, especially the action scenes. Character development was fairly good though focused mainly on the matters at hand. More back story on Jonny would have been interesting, but this is not purely a psychological novel although it does have elements of that genre. Very good description of the settings which is crucial to the action.
Oh Boy, a rogue Special Ops operative who goes off the reservation. Dominance Rain is America's most effective and elite of the Black Ops units and Jonny Maxwell is one of their best. Jonny gives in to his penchant for rape, murder and mayhem and must be taken out. Enter Dale Miller who is one of Jonny's ex brothers in arms. The chase is on. I enjoyed it even though it was somewhat predictable.
Wow! This is really one of those 'can't sleep til I finish' novels.I was quickly engrossed in the emotional and physical battle that plagued our warriors in this novel. I could visualize their pain and turmoil...found myself smiling and crying many times - but couldn't put it down.
Hi all! Thanks for reading NO OTHER OPTION, which was my first published novel. It's also available in e-book for those of you who enjoy e-format. Thanks for reading!
This is another very good novel by this author. I have enjoyed reading this and other books by Marcus Wynne. There are still a few more that I want to read.
