Innovation isn't something you do after you get your work done. It's how you do your work.Organizations all over the world are shedding jobs in record numbers. Yet today, they are desperately in need of people with the abilities and skills to think ahead of the curve, delight customers, motivate colleagues, slash costs, and achieve unconventional results.

Tucker reveals why honing your I-Skills (Innovation Skills) may be the smartest career move you'll make. If you're ready to stop talking about innovation and start adding value today - in your job, department or organization - you're ready to read and benefit from the powerful message of Innovation is Everybody's Business.
Being Innovative in your work is not a good to have skill anymore...It is inevitable.. must have skill or we run the risk of becoming easily dispensable.
Summary: The seven i-skills include embracing the opportunity mindset, assaulting assumptions, maintaining passion for the end customer, thinking ahead of the curve, fortifying the idea factory, being considered a standout collaborator, and building buy-in for ideas and enroll others in the vision.
This was a great follow up book to Tucker's first book! I am reading this for a class and to be honest it is one I will not only go back to, but in all likely hood read again. This book is not only for leaders, but if you are in charge of just making your life better, it is a must read!
This is one of the most inspiring books I ever read. It contains a lot of useful examples and tactics how to unlock and develop your innovation and creativity.
