About the author

Kjartan Poskitt is an author and TV presenter who is best known for writing the Murderous Maths children's series of books. Poskitt was educated at Collingwood College, Durham. In addition to his popular science and maths books, which include books on Isaac Newton (Dead Famous: Isaac Newton and his Apple), puzzles, practical jokes and secred codes, Poskitt has written a book of magical tricks, a GCSE Maths support book and four Rosie and Jim annuals. In 2007, Poskit published the first in a new series of children's novels called Urgum the Axeman.

He also wrote the theme tune for the children's art program SMart, as well as the title theme and music for the first two series of Brum. He is also the creator of a logic puzzle, Kjarposko.

He has been a presenter for a number of (mostly BBC) educational children's TV shows.

Спомням си го сякаш беше вчера – славното време, когато поредицата „Страховитото в историята” се появи за първи път на български и бързо се превърна в любимо четиво за мен и доста от връстниците ми. Сега имахме шанс не просто да си учим уроците по история или да добавяме към тях и по някой и друг факт от детските енциклопедии. Сега можехме едновременно да впечатлим, ужасим и погнусим учителите (и съучениците) си с настръхващо-ужасяващи, но съвършено верни истории от близко, далечно и още по-далечно минало. Каква гадост са използвали Ацтеките вместо шампоан или по какъв кървав начин са наказвали пиратите бунтовниците и предателите в екипажа си? Наистина ли искате да знаете? Популярността на „Страховитото в историята” доведе и до още две поредици в същия стил – „Страховитото в науката” и „Жестоката математика”. About how if you love triangles to much, you have not read this book.
The Pythagorean theorem (For the zillionth time).

It was a very good book, funny while educational honestly I recommend this book. I’d also like to add how much I’ve learned from this book while it has comic strips and it is not like any other boring old math book what I really like to know is how good at writing a Z to be able to make it enjoy a, sounding like very boring book.
