My I didnt realise I had all of these squirrelled away. And now on to one of my favourite subjects while I was growing up - "how it worked". I could not get enough of the cut away, exploded diagram, explanations of how things worked. I would often be inspired to try and make my own versions of them from things I could beg borrow and steal from around the house - I guess somethings never change there.
Again life moves on and now I have a full array of microscopes at my disposal both optical and electronic - a shame really as the wonder and joy I had as a child seems to have slowly and quietly slipped out of view. Thank you ladybird for reminding me how it used to be.
