Read an older edition from 1994 and found it an easy, interesting read, with each chapter covering a major conflict. Keep in mind this is by no means a comprehensive study, but simply a short overview, a"beginner's guide" almost. Easy to process and a great starting off point for more in depth reading elsewhere.
