Casual Living: No-fuss style for a comfortable home
Many of us live stressful lives, so we deserve a home that delivers no-fuss style for comfortable living. Casual Living puts such a goal firmly within reach.
In the first section, Casual Style, Judith maps out the two facets of the look—Country Casual and City Casual—so you can identify the style that suits you best. Next, Casual Elements focuses on the different ingredients that come together to create the perfect home. In part three, Casual Rooms, Judith shows how the style translates to every room in the house, from Relaxed Kitchens to Soothing Bathrooms and Cozy Sitting Rooms to Tranquil Bedrooms, taking in Children’s Spaces along the way. We can’t all achieve the perfect, stress-free life, but in Casual Living Judith Wilson will inspire you to create a practical, welcoming, and comfortable home that you’ll enjoy and appreciate every day.

I read this book yesterday and I'm reading Judith Wilson's Essential Home today. This book is much better everything seems to be cozier and more fun in this book. Don't bother with the other book unless you have a million dollars to spend on furniture.

Originally read in October 2012, then re-read while house hunting. Some interesting thoughts and nice ideas to use in principal, but does tend to assume readers have a large space and lots of money available.

I enjoy design blogs. I tend to think of our home as a nest. The images in this book gave me lots of ideas. LOVED.

This book embodies my design philosophy. Soft yet bright, carefree, funky and feminine.

A little too Bohemian and cluttered for me but I did find a delightful mermaid doll that I would love to replicate. If you love "open" shelving, cabinets, etc. you will find inspiration.

Normally, I love decoration books, but I actually like them with more advice and fewer pictures of lavish homes that are supposedly casual. For me, this book was a miss.

I always like shelter books. Not sure this is terribly casual, but it is pretty.
