I did not like this book because I do not like webs. I also did not like this book because I do not like spiders.

A level 1 that was probably a little too easy for a level 1 but my 5 yr old son still loved it. Anything super hero is a big hit for him and although the story left something to be desired in my book, anything that gets a kid to read is okay in my book.

I am not liking the pictures. This book is truly the story from before Peter was bitten until well after. It describes many of his abilities with very little action.

This is the Spider-Man origin story everyone knows. Nonetheless it's probably not the Spider-Man you're used to if you're picturing Tobey McGuire. This Spider-Man is pretty ripped even before his accident. Overall it just feels a bit outdated because of the art. I've read a few Spider-Man origin stories for my 4-year-old and this blends in with the rest.

Good introduction to Spider-Man for kids. I wish they used comic art that looks a little more like actual people (especially the women, yikes) but that's pretty standard for comics and Spider-Man.

Well, this was pretty good for a Spiderman book! When we finished, my son wanted to read it again.
