Finally the "Bible of Western Gardening" expands nationwide, offering the restof the U.S. and southern Candad what western gardeners have relied on for over50 years. This is the definitve reference book of American plant varieties. Over 6000 detailed plant listings, 2500 color phots, charts, and diagrams.
One of my most-used gardening books. It covers a wide range of plants with the most useful information in a concise format. The 45 climate zone system is very useful and better than USDA hardiness zones. For those living in the Southeast there is a version of this book for Southern gardens called The Southern Living Garden Book which is equally excellent.
Sunset books are always extremely useful, and more detailed than their fluffier counterparts. I particularly like how they have created far more detailed gardening zones than the simple 1-11 we are used to.
