Excellent work tackling a topic that has been handled poorly for so long. 4 stars only because it dragged a little in the middle (at least for me). Some absolute gems in this book and should be read by every teen, young adult and parent. Easy read, short and well written.

I thought that this book gave a great, understandable discussion of the ins and outs of romantic relationships, starting with understanding yourself. The transition into chapter nine could have been a bit smoother, explaining up front the reason why its theme was so important to the book's theme-- which Vallotton does at the end--, but I think this chapter was a valuable addition to the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a relationship or already in a relationship. I found out about this book after finding Moral Revolution's podcast. I'm a big Kris Vallotton fan as I've been listening to his podcasts and reading his material for several years now. This book is powerful for the young. I would value seeing a section where there is exploration on those who are no longer married and over 40. The principles are likely to be the same but I'd appreciate how Kris would put this message across contextually for the hurting, damaged and neglected who are contemplating love and sex after the bloom of adolescence is gone but the passion hasn't.

I was gifted this book about 3 years ago when I confessed to my spiritual parents about the sexual sin that I was in. At the moment I attempted to read this book but I had so much hurt that I buried the book away for a while finally I found my old book stash and this was the first one that I set out to compete. When you read this book having the the heart of our Father inside, this is almost like loading up your arsenal with new weapons. I know a lot of people in my generation would call this book toxic and any thing else they could think of. I simply can assume this because we are a lost generation. When we read things that sting wounds we quickly call it toxic because we have gaslit ourselves to deflect anything that we hear that may even slightly remind of us of those harsh wounds, even though it may be speaking the truth that we wish we’d heard before we got into situation that led us into obtaining the wounds we have now. I would recommend this book to my teenager walking with God so they can really know the true fight when it comes to our purity. With this being said now I can return this book so my parents can bless my future siblings with this book.

Amazing book that deals with a topic that today can be quite controversial.
The author gives good and valid points about sexual purity and meaning of sex itself. I think nowadays, our society is based on hookups and NSA (no strings attached). It is important to address this issue and confront why it is important to save yourself and don’t have many sexual partners. Kris here shows how human brain works and how men and women view sex and relationship.
Also one sentence really stuck with me. In this book Kris wrote that you can’t say your opinion anymore, you have to be “in the norm” and if you have an unpopular opinion, you cannot express it. This was written in 2010. It’s 2023 now and we still deal with this issue and it’s even worse now. We need more people that shows the ugly truth of hookups and casual relationship.
I would recommend this book to everyone, doesn’t matter if you are a Christian or not. This book should be read by every young person.

This was so helpful in breaking the spirit of insecurity in me. It has helped me be secure in my sexual identity as a Christian on this earth. Mr Vallotton's writing has been very insightful and I enjoy his way of storytelling. Praise God for this ministry because pornography and sexual pleasure is such a hidden cancer in society especially among the youth of today due to the free access from the internet of several perverse materials. This book has helped ibstil in me the purpose of purity and the power of sexual morality. Praying that God would reach out through this book to more people all over the world! God bless Mr Vallotton and everyone involved in he making of this book!

A lot can be said about this book, but I think the most important and helpful thing to point out may be the blatant medical misinformation about the hymen.

Obviously plenty of other problems relating to sexual ethics, shaming people who have experienced sexual abuse, queer-phobia, fatphobia for some godforsaken reason, and lots of gender stereotypes portrayed as Biblical truth. Honestly, some things were so obviously made up that I laughed out loud, shocked that people can still read this shit. Like, Josh Harris apologized for his bullshit years ago, and here we still are? But I digress, this was a hate read to begin with.

Recommended to me by my mentor, this is a fantastic read with unbelievable truths that are commonly misunderstood. I think this kind of book should be required reading for any Christian growing up in a culture such as ours. It’s tough to hear some of his advice, but it’s what we need; more than that, the pursuit of purity he speaks of is the way we follow our destiny. We give up a beautiful thing when we forget what God has called us to morally. God loves us all and we love him. He’s enough for us. Kris Vallotton helps us to see why His moral standards are worth the fight.

A good book about Christian purity and our temptation-filled world, it is very censored and can be read by teens which is a thing that I liked, it talks openly about stuff like; sexuality, homosexuality, abortion, premarital relationships, boundaries.
