I'm not going to finish this book because I'm just not learning from reading it. At some point I will look for a better source to learn/review basic anatomy.
The pictures in this book are not great. When I do an internet image search on any topic, and compare the resulting images to what is in this book, the internet pictures are always better. There are also free 3D human atlases available online that go into just as much detail as this book.
The captions and notes surrounding the pictures are, TBH, a little hard to follow. In general, I feel like there is something missing in this book to make it cohere into a decent learning utility. Perhaps it is meant more for reference? It feels like it is meant for cramming before an anatomy quiz or test. But again, I can't imagine this is a great instrument for any of this. Perhaps as a second source to complement a main text?
Honestly, I learn the most about anatomy when I open up an LLM AI (such as ChatGTP) and ask directed questions about a certain area of anatomy/physiology.
rechecked this on November 7 originally checked out In October when I got the "clean eating" book. This book has good illustrations and good footnotes although the edition I have is a cream cover lettering rather than the picture you see above. Much longer in whigth then your average grays anatomy text I find the illustration more comprehensible as well.
