I thought I loved the last book but this one now has me hooked.
I love the war that is going on between the Sabbat’s and the Spenser’s because no matter how much they hate each the Elders have different plans and Mate them to each other. And it makes for good reading when you have revenge, love and hot sex and it does help that you have three hot sexy Vampire brothers to either hate or love.
At the end of the last book Winning Virgin Promises, Constance ends up with the three brothers as her mates and a secret is exposed but she holds her tongue and doesn’t tell Darien. So then we are taking years down the line and Constance time with Darien comes to an end. She is kidnapped and poisoned but holds out for her other mates to save her. Oh and I forgot to mention a Ghost(Arturo) who talks to her in her head and has told her to call his name anytime she needs him.
Oh I’m so Mad at Constance she is so selfish and I just want to slap her but this is what makes a good Author to me one that makes you feel hate, love etc. for their characters. She has Gabriel and she stills not happy but I think she learns her lesson when she and Gabriel have a three-way with a ghost Yes I said ghost.
We also get to learn more about the 3 siblings who are born of Tabitha who is a Spenser but because of the way they mate she has her life time mate and 2 other seconds who were Darian and Richart and I will tell you know that Richart is not only a vampire he is something else to.
So Darien has a son( Kiril) and Richart has a son(Samuel) and daughter(Irisa) who have been brought up as Spenser’s and Irisa and Samuel are Spenser’s but Kiril is a Sabbat through and through and runs away to find his father. Kiril intrigues me I’m not sure if he is going to be bad and following in his father’s business or if he will be like Gabriel who everyone thinks is the evil one. Irisa does play a big part with Arturo who wants her and I’m hoping we find out more about her in the next book. We don’t really get to know much about Samuel but I’m wondering if he will be like his father.
Now with all this going on Darian and Richart find out they are mates and Darian does struggle with this and yes this does end up with some M/M action which I loved. Destiny doesn’t hold back on any of the sex scenes she writes I find them raw and very hot.
I do feel for Sebastian in this book he realises his feelings for Constance have changed and decides to leave her. He has a dream about his mate and this comes to play out near the end of the book. Monica is another one who intrigues me she can see the future and knows she belongs to Sebastian but oh once again our friendly Ghost Arturo plays a part in their story to, which will hopefully play out in the next book.
I know from reading this that there seems to be a lot going on and there is but believe me you don’t get lost you know what is going on. And I am happy that all 3 brothers have found their mates but their story is long from over.
I can’t wait to see what Destiny comes up with next I have come to love the characters and I’m totally hooked on the world Destiny has created with this series. Bring on the next one.
