Then her father sells her to be a house servant and she is sent away. For a whole year she’s condemned to work like a slave for the brutal, cruel Barrow brothers.
There, in the dead of night, she sees a strange white figure. And she begins a curious friendship and starts her adventure of escape, discovery, and reclaiming what is rightfully hers.

About the author

Leander Watts is the author of five young adult novels. He lives in the Genesee Valley of western New York State, where he teaches writing and literature (special areas of interest: science fiction, crime novels and YA.)

He owns hundreds of vinyl albums (many still in the original cellophane), twelve fezzes, a ninety year old tenor sax, and the biggest collection of Big Hand Books known to exist.

easy read. I read this book because I'm part of a bingo challenge and reading a children's book was on it. I was not a big fan of this book
