Dominance. Submission. Murder. And that’s just before lunch.

New York, Book 2

Homicide detective Brice Marshall’s current case has him stymied and frustrated. A serial killer is slaughtering young women. After a long, fruitless day poring over the most gruesome evidence he’s ever seen, he needs a break.

Stepping into his cousin’s BDSM club is a reminder that there is another part of himself. A part that has been left empty in a life ruled by work. The fact is, he’s a Dom in search of a sub. When he bumps into Terryn, a slender redhead who’s new to the scene, her wide-eyed eagerness even in the face of her nerves attracts him like gravity.

Terryn is the sub of his dreams, with the power to ease his soul. Without warning the murder case reaches ugly tentacles into the most private part of his world—the woman he wants to claim as his own. The woman whose stubborn search for the delicate balance between sub life and independence could put her directly in the path of the killer.

This book contains BDSM play, M/F/M ménage, graphic language and a drool-worthy Dom on the hunt for a sub and a killer.

Lainey- born in Tacoma, Washington- was raised mostly in Nevada and California. The youngest of five, Lainey dreamed of being an actress and starring in blockbuster movies she wrote herself. As she grew, the dreams of being on the big screen faded but the ones of writing those fantastic stories never did. At 17 Lainey read her first romance novel and knew she’d found her calling. Here were the stories like the ones in her own heart and mind, and like tumblers falling into position on a combination lock, everything just clicked into place and the world was open to her.
It took a long time before she could work up the courage and belief in herself to try but finally, in 2010 Lainey held her breath and took the leap. Her first novel A Table For Three debuted in February and she hasn’t looked back since. Nor has she given up hope that one day, she will be sitting in a theater and it will be one of her stories on the big screen…

Yes, I am.

Baba is a little bit lazy at the moment. Therefore, I won't be writing a long and in-depth review.

First of all let me say that I really liked the premise of Damaged Goods. Suspense combined with BDSM is very interesting. Ultimately, though, I had expected better of it and I ended up disappointed. That said, I continuously dropped my rating. In the end I decided to downgrade it to 2 stars when I hit the 90 % mark. Honestly, this was such a huge bummer (read the spoiler).

The beginning of Damaged Goods was good and when the author described how the killer butchered the women and revealed the gory details I just expected some nice suspense besides the BDSM aspect of the story. Sadly, this was not going to happen though. And here comes an honest advice to those readers who are in need of a gore fix: don't read it coz it does not provide what you are looking for. There's just plenty of BDSM sex (and not the best I've read to date) and not enough well developed plot let alone suspense. Hence, I felt that the suspense part was just a minor subplot--absolutely forgettable. In addition, the police procedurals didn't convince me either. Also, the writing is too clichéd. The constant snarling, scowling, growling, groaning, screaming, shouting and ever present wet p@ssies and the huge and rock hard c@cks and multiple orgasms were all over the place and started to slightly unnerve me. Oh, and no, I am not jealous. Sheesh.

At 90 % I had the infamous WTF moment.

Photobucket

I felt cheated.

Warning
Damaged Goods contains very explicit sex (including oral and anal), serious spanking, bondage, toys & ménage scenes

Meh, I didn’t get into it, it didn’t grab my attention.

It’s funny really, when I read A Table for Three (New York Series book 1) I complained in my review that there was little to no plot in it and nonetheless I liked it. Well, this one has more of a story line and yet I didn’t like it; I couldn’t care less for the story and the characters where dull and extremely forgettable.

Damaged Goods is a disappointment for me.

Audiobook  the narrator doesn’t do the book any favors. He is ok, I just don’t think he has the appropriate voice for this kind of book. In my opinion his voice would be better suited to a young adult book than to an erotic book with dominant men, his voice is just not strong enough and doesn’t match the characters personalities.

Dominance. Submission. Murder. And that’s just before lunch.

The second book in Lainey Reese’s New York series and it’s another wickedly erotic sizzler!!

We all know that good Doms are really hard to find and no submissive should ever go off with a dominant in the way that the characters in Lainey Reese’s books do but this is fiction and the heroes would lay down their lives to protect their subs so the girls are never really in any danger, so suspend your disbelief, go with the flow and enjoy another deliciously erotic BDSM romance.

This time, we have Brice, the detective we met in A Table For Three who meets Terryn at Cade’s BDSM club after a particularly bad day at work. Someone is picking off girls and hacking them to death and Brice just needs to forget about homicide and lose himself in a willing submissive. Terryn totally fits the bill. She’s a redhead, Brice has a real penchant for redheads, and she’s relatively inexperienced and a little lost and her bashful countenance brings out all Brice’s extremely strong dominant instincts.

Brice guides her through her first initial BDSM scenes and Lainey Reese really doesn't disappoint here with some really very imaginative scenarios!!

Brice was absolutely a dom to die for. He’s uber-alpha, over-protective, commanding, handsome and I just adored him. He’s delighted in Terryn’s instinctive submission and his feelings for her intensify pretty rapidly. He certainly melted my heart.

Terryn is the perfect sub to his dom. She’s sweet and a little shy and is very keen to learn about the BDSM lifestyle – she’s hard-working, honest and kind-hearted. She’s a stunning redhead – just the way Brice likes them.

There’s a murder mystery running alongside the erotic romance with the danger creeping ever close to Terryn much to Brice’s alarm. We also get to meet the most awesome Texan Dom – Gage. I seriously need to read Gage’s story and can’t wait for him to find his forever sub – he’s just stunning with his Texas twang, his confident swagger and his easy grin. I fell for him especially with the delicious scenes he shared with Brice & Terryn.

We get to catch up with Riley and her two doms after a couple of years together and it’s nice to see that they’re still all playing hard and enjoying each other.

4 stars delicious BDSM romantic suspense

Well, I think a lot of us waited a really long time for this one. I won't say it disappointed, but for me it wasn't as exciting as I remember the first one being. As with the first one, things moved very quickly, both in terms of the relationship as well as clearing up the case. But overall it was enjoyable. Probably closer to 3.5 than 3, but not enough to bump it up to a 4.

I really enjoyed how alpha Brice could get. I also really enjoy it when a man who thinks he'll be single forever finds "the one" and is figuratively brought to his knees as a result. I liked that he never really second guessed it either. He never wondered why he was falling so hard. It was just, Oh, yeah, I really do care a lot about her and don't think I can live without her now. Lol.

I thought the addition of Cade was kinda hot, but I kind of felt like Cade was a little bit overbearing on someone who is not his. I'm thinking we'll see Cade in the next one, potentially falling hard like Brice did this time.

The "wet room" scene did nothing for me. It just seemed a little juvenile. Not what they were doing, but it just felt like my sub is better than yours and I'm going to prove it. Whatever.

But the suspense part of the story was pretty well done. The author threw in enough doubt about different characters that it wouldn't have been a total stretch for someone else to have done it. But I did sort of pick up on the villian early on.

Even though I didn't like this one as much as the first, I'll still look for another one from this series if she writes another one in the series, or I'll look for others by the author.

I have been waiting for Brice's book ever since I finished reading Table For Three and I was so not disappointed!!! I cannot say enough how much I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book!!!! Brice *sigh*
Damaged Goods grabbed a hold of me right from the start and didn't let go until the end. I absolutely LOVED Brice and Terryn. They were so perfect for each other and I LOVED the connection that Brice still had with Riley~so sweet!!! I was so happy to see Cade, Riley, and Trevor and then Gage(Oh, Gage *swoons*~I am so hoping for his book!!!) I also loved the side story with Angie and Kent and then poor Brian.
Lainey Reese gained me as a fan after reading Table For Three and I absolutely adore her after reading Damaged Goods. Such a GREAT story. Although the story revolves around Brice and Kent trying to catch a killer, and some of the scenes were pretty gross, Damaged Goods was
filled with lovable characters, that I wanted to see get their HEA and some of the HOTTEST sex scenes that I have read~I think at one point my Kindle was smoking!!! LOL ;) I definitely want a Brice of my own.
The New York series continues to be a favorite of mine, especially with the addition of Damaged Goods and I can't wait to see what is next!!
So, I put Damaged Goods in my keeper pile next to Table For Three and I am already itching to reread this series!!! I definitely recommend this series!!! BEST OF THE BEST rating. ;)
**Again, books and authors like this are the reason that I am so addicted to reading. I am one happy girl!!! LOL ;)

Holy Effing Hell! Can we say HOT! This book is on fire! Like go change your panties on fire! I've read a few books with the BDSM theme to them, I've also read a few books with m/f/m situations, so I wasn't expecting this one to shock me, so to speak, buuuuttt it did! First lets talk about the sex.... ok I don't even know where to begin without maybe giving too much personal info up but it was fucking hot! I am not a sub, nor have I tried that lifestyle, but this book has put thoughts in my head that none have done before! (there's that tmi I mentioned...) (Water room anyone!) Terryn is new to the BDSM lifestyle and goes to a club looking for a Dom. Brice, omfg hot!, is a Dom looking for a release for the night after a hellacious day on the job. He's a cop working a murder case that is pretty brutal, but can't seem to let it go so his personal/sex life has suffered. From the moment he sees Tarryn, he's got it bad. She's his walking wet dream and he's thrilled to learn not only is she a Sub, she's also new and therefore his to teach. *wags eyebrows* Tarryn is nervous but determined so she goes for it with the hottest Dom around. So they strike up a relationship amidst a psycho killer intent on ridding the city of "sluts" aka girls who put out (psycho's reasoning, not mine). The plot was really good and I thought it was pretty believable. The characters were well written and the author did a great job with all this! I liked the sub blossoming romance between Brice's partner Kent and Angie. I have not read the first book, as I did not realize there was one, but after figuring that out I will be getting that one too! We meet up with the folks from the first and they are pretty hot too! I also liked Gage and would really like to see a book come out for him! Like really!! *more eyebrow wags*

The second story in this series involves Brice Marshall, cousin of Cade Marshall who was introduced in the first book. Brice is a New York police detective and is also a Dom. He meets Terryn Keller at Cade’s BDSM club but soon figures out that she’s new to the scene and is just beginning her exploration. Meanwhile, Brice and his partner, Brandon Kent, are investigating the brutal murders of two young women by what appears to be a serial killer. As Brice becomes more deeply involved with Terryn, he also has to deal with the realization that she might be in the path of the killer.

The suspense aspect of the story was high, equally balanced with the erotica and adding to the sexual tension, as if that needed any help. While the whodunit wasn’t too hard to figure out, it wasn’t so clear cut either as I went through three suspects until I circled back to my original way of thinking. The erotica was excellent, enhanced somewhat because of Terryn’s inexperience, which kept the sexual scenes fresh and interesting. It allowed me to explore the BDSM world through her perspective as Brice helped her understand the roles and behaviors. There’s also a ménage scene that was just crazy!

I really liked that Trevor, Cade and Riley, the ménage relationship from the first book, A Table for Three, have substantive (and steamy) roles in this story. And, the main character for the next book, Gage Hollister, makes an appearance here that left me breathless. I’m not sure I can handle his story!

Reese does a really good job of weaving mystery, suspense, romance and erotica into a solid and interesting story. I liked the characters, even though Doms are not necessarily my favorite hero choices. You can’t help but like Brice and Terryn was refreshing. I enjoyed the book and am anxiously waiting for the next one in the series.

Solid 3.75 Stars

In comparison to book 1 this one has a much more intense & suspenseful plot. One that keeps you wondering till the last chapter who the villain actually is. This I loved. We see a little of Cade, Riley, & Trevor. Another added bonus. We meet a few new characters as well. But the one that had me panting was Gage I have a major crush on this dude.

While I really like Brice, he's a good solid character, I just wasn't really feeling his "connection" with Terryn Aside from how they meet & a first few encounters with them, overall their coupling was just "meh" to me. They are not what kept me reading. The plot & happenings around them is what kept me captivated with this read.

Still, I think overall this was a decent 2nd installment to this series. I would recommend it.

I dnf'd this because it was absolutely stupid. I might go back and try again - but I was already at my limit in the first few chapters.

Brice (Dom, detective) is at his cousin's BDSM club looking for a hookup. He spots Terryn (says she's a sub but argues about being submissive) and decides he wants to have her. When he finally gets her to stop arguing about submitting to him, they're about to get to the dirty bits when he discovers two tattoos. On one side of her coochie she has Pooh bear and on the other side of her coochie she has a honeypot. Insert the biggest eyeroll in history. Then - he asks her what she calls her cooch and she says "Gigi". What the actual f*ck!?!

I just couldn't. I DNF'd at that point.

If I'm feeling bored and want to be annoyed, I might go back and try this again.

Ohhhhh yeah, I did continue on to read the series. Brice intrigued me when he showed up in A Table for Three, so naturally, I wanted to know what else he’s got up his sleeve. From what we saw in the previous book, he’s a dom and a voyeur. And... well, holy hotness that just screamed filthy and sexy and downright steamy to me.

Damaged Goods was pure smutty goodness. It’s a book you turn to if you want to get a quick fill of kink. And while that’s the case, there’s also some kind of murder mystery tied into it, so it’s not just solely the erotic romance you’re getting.

RATING- *** 3.5 out of 5 Stars
*NOTE* BDSM play, M/F/M manage, graphic language

Oh man I really loved the hot & steamy book 1, Table for Three! I couldn't wait to get my hands on book 2 thinking that it would be just as good if not better. But I have to say that I'm surprisingly let down that it didn't live up to my expectations. I like the author and think she writes really good erotic scenes, but I'm not sold. (OH NO.. what happened)

Synopsis:
When homicide detective Brice Marshall stumbles upon a serial killer case that's threatening to consume his entire life he has to make a decision to either embrace the sicko in order to solve the case, (and continue to miss out on a personal life) or slowly learn how to balance work and play.

A long day at work yields no results for Brice on the current murder so he decides to let off some tension at his cousin Cade's club. It takes all of two seconds before Brice's eyes land on Terryn. Terryn is young, beautiful, and very curious about about BDSM and what it means to be submissive. When she bumps into Brice their connection is instant. He's exactly the type of man that's been starring in her dreams and she can't believe he's standing in front of her asking to 'play'.

One night at the club isn't enough for Brice or Terryn, so they decide to continue their new relationship–Brice teaching her what it means to be a submissive–indefinitely. As their relationship continues to intensify the murders begin to stack up. Now Brice not only worries about the innocent young women being murdered, but wonders how close these murders will come to Terryn. His interest and concern for Terryn run more than just Dom/sub boundaries, and Brice is willing to do just about anything to keep her safe and by his side.

This book is the epitome of give and take–hence the 'BDSM' theme. Brice has no problem giving Terryn what she needs as long as she understands her role. Terryn slowly begins to learn that she'll give almost anything to Brice (willingly) as long as she's able to keep her independence and her identity.

The Best Thing:
There's no doubt about it... some scenes are drool and jaw-dropping worthy. Lainey truly understand how to detail and spin a delicious erotic story. I'd already fallen for Cade in book one and now that I've met Brice I can't help but to love him as well. I'm slowly falling for these 'Alpha' males exuding all macho/dominant confidence.

I liked the twist of the story with the serial killer, it added a different type of spice to the story to keep me interested!

The Worst Thing:
Oh boy, here we go. Some how, towards the end, things got kind of blah for me. To start I'll say that the serial killer idea was good, however, I felt that it wasn't really developed that well. I didn't really understand (once the story was completed) what the motivation was behind the murders. I mean it was explained but not supported. I actually would have liked to have read something somewhere about the background for the killer. Again, why was this psychotic b**ch so crazy...and yes, she was crazy.

Moving on to the relationship between Brice and Terryn. I thought their sex was great and the process of him teaching her about BDSM and submission was lacking. I didn't like how he immediately introduced his best friend into the picture [even though that was a hot scene and Terryn was down for it]. Moreover, the importance of their relationship was lost on me and overshadowed by the sex. This is a problem because I was totally caught off guard by the end of the book when they are both throwing out 'I LOVE YOUs'. I remember thinking, 'when the hell did this happen' and how.

Lastly, was the very intense, but totally unnecessary sex scene that involved all; Brice, Terryn, Riley, Trevor and Cade. This scene was so outrageous that it was laughable. I think this is what tipped the rating the other way for me. I mean I can read about the multi/numerous partners, voyeurism, toys, and the all-inclusive BDSM scene, but when they started the game I felt like I was in a comedy, it was just too ridiculous and I couldn't even enjoy it. So sad:(

Overall: I still really enjoyed the story. I still really love to read books by Lainey Reese and I can't wait to see what else she has up her sleeve!

Slick's review posted on Guilty Pleasures

It seems like I’ve been waiting forever for this book. When I read Lainey Reese’s debut book, A Table for Three, I very much enjoyed it. I loved watching Cade and Trevor convince Riley to enjoy herself with them, the sex scenes were beyond explosive but it was the scene with Cade’s cousin, Brice that caught my attention. There was just something about Brice that hooked me and I knew, just knew that his book was going to be beyond amazing. I am pleased to report that Lainey delivered BIG TIME with Brice’s book. It contains an interesting plot, believable characters, and some scorching sex scenes.

Brice Marshall is a homicide detective, he’s great at his job but his latest case is giving him trouble. The pieces are there and he can’t fit them together. He’s angry at himself, and is feeling way to raw. He decides the best way to alleviate the stress is to visit his cousin’s private BDSM club for some action.

Terryn Keller is a social worker and new to the BDSM lifestyle. When she meets and plays with Brice at the club, she doesn’t know he’s a detective. She certainly doesn’t expect to meet him in an official capacity when he’s investigating the murder of her closest friend.

From the moment Brice and Terryn meet the energy in the area goes through the roof. The connection is instantaneous and sizzling and you just know these two are going to be amazing together. Luckily, we don’t have to wait long to witness their first encounter. I love how Brice takes immediate command despite how new Terryn is to the lifestyle. He makes some allowances but not many. It’s very evident that Terryn is sub material through and through. Terryn is actually shocked by how easily she turns herself over to Brice, but she knows deep down it’s what she wants so she doesn’t fight it too much.

Throughout the book Brice introduces Terryn to the BDSM lifestyle including allowing his best friend, Gage, to play with them. I can’t even begin to describe the scenes that include Gage and I don’t want to because you need to read them for yourself. Suffice it to say, they are very good, extremely hot, and beyond satisfying to everyone involved including the reader. They also go a long way to making us remember Brice’s voyeuristic tendencies.

While the sex and BDSM scenes are plentiful, there is a lot more to this book than sex. The ongoing murder investigation, the developing relationship between Brice’s partner and another woman from the coffee shop where the two women who were murdered worked, a near fatal beating, and Brice and Terryn trying to figure where they fit in each other’s lives makes this a very well rounded story.

Damaged Goods is an astounding addition to the New York series and well worth the wait. Lainey is a gifted writer with a knack for writing characters with a great balance of depth, strength, and emotion. I found myself wrapped up in this story, not just Brice and Terryn’s but all the characters and upon finishing I found myself wanting more. That to me is always the sign of a great writer, while this story is complete and the ending satisfying I’m already anticipating the next story and so hoping it’s going to be about Gage. Please let it be about Gage!

I loved this second book in the New York series. Damaged Goods is about Brice, the gorgeous Homicide Detective who we met in book #1 ‘A Table for Three’.

This was another erotic indulgence set in the BDSM scene but we had some serious suspense in this one with a serial killer on the loose. I actually thought the suspense plot was so much better in this story than book #1 and was really well written. It actually kept me guessing and it was woven into the romance really well and drawn out perfectly.

Brice is having a hard time on the murder case of a young vibrant girl and it’s all getting to him. Enter Cade’s BDSM club which Brice visits after an extremely stressful day at work. He wants to let go and find a willing submissive. Brice knows he has hit the jack pot when he spots Terryn; an inexperienced redhead who immediately brings out all of Brice’s dominant instincts.

Brice is absolutely LUSH. He came across as protective, commanding and devoted; overall a gorgeous alpha male character without the arrogance! I loved him, he was a true hero!

Terryn was so adorable and genuine. A truly likeable heroine who showed courage and allure yet was shy and honest. She had no fear of trying to get what she wanted despite the huge change of life style.

Together Brice and Terryn made perfect sense!

This is Brice and Terryn’s story however; Trev, Cade and Riley are back and we get too catch up with them a few years after we left them in book #1. We also have the fab secondary characters of Gage and Kent.

I am really looking forward to Book #3 and hope it is Gage’s story and our heroine is a certain type of Candy LOL!!

This Author sure writes an erotic and sexy story, and yes once again we do have some ménage scenes which are HOT!

Overall, I really enjoyed Damaged Goods, I was hooked straight away and I couldn’t put it down until I knew how, why and who. It did not disappoint!

It’s been so long since I’ve read Table For Three that I couldn’t even remember most of it. I was a little worried when I picked up Damaged Goods that I wouldn’t be able to follow the story without a reread of book 1 first. Well, I am happy to say that wasn’t the case. Lainey Reese did an excellent job of writing this novel, especially with such a time gap between releases. You could easily read book 2 as a stand-alone.

I remember liking the first book (which is why I read this one) but Damaged Goods was even better. It’s erotica, but still has a solid story line. I love the bit of mystery mixed in with the romance, and the characters were really likeable—well except for the bad guys.

The sex scenes were smokin’ hot, but there were also sad moments and happy moments and some truly laugh out loud lines. I am going to post a quote that had me bursting out laughing. It’s a little inappropriate so I am hiding it under a spoiler. This was probably my favorite scene in the book—it isn’t the heroine but another girl she works with on a first date with a guy she really likes. Out of nowhere she says to him:

I did enjoy this second book in the New York series, but not as much as the first and would rate it 3.5 stars. Brice Marshall is a cop who gets involved in a series of brutal killings of girls that work at a coffee shop. Needing a break from work he makes a trip to his cousin's BDSM club where he meets Terryn. Despite her inexperience, they have an immediate connection and start playing. At the same time the killings escalate. The story was interesting and most of the erotic scenes were very sexy and imaginative. But there were too many things that took me out of the story and I found myself frequently putting the book down to do something else - it didn't really hold my attention. Terryn had never really been with a Dom before, and she's plunged into it with little instruction or discussion and after a couple of days Brice's BFF Gage shows up and they are into a menage. Then it turns out Terryn works for Riley, Cade and Travis - for most people playing sexy shower games with your bosses would be awkward, but not here. Also, Brice and his partner are supposedly superstar crime solvers who don't seem to realize that all the girls that are killed worked at the same place, and they have no security covering the remaining staff. Doh! I did like the characters and Brice is a hot, sexy cop giving Terryn lots of hot, sexy orgasms, so overall not too bad.

I really liked this second story in the series. Brice and Terryn were perfect together. I also liked the suspense even though I figured out who was the villain right away. I enjoyed seeing my favorite trio from the first book. Mercy, these people are naughty and kinky. At times it was over the top. I mean really, how could 1 woman live through 50 orgasms in one night? I especially liked the wet play contest between both groups. I fell in love with cowboy Gage and hope he gets a story. I think I know who his special lady will be.

Just read this a second time and still love it.

I really enjoyed the first book of this series but I have to say that I LOVED this second one.

I really liked following Brice and Kent in their investigation and the sex scenes were amazingly hot.
I loved Brice, he was really the perfect hero for me: a cop (don’t ask me why but cop is on my top 5 fantasy occupation list lol) AND a Dom AND rich, really what’s not to love?
The only disappointment I have is the ending.

Really looking forward to Gage’s story!!

While I liked the book, it was missing the whole "relationship building" for me...It felt as if Brice met her in the club, they did a scene, met again, fooled around with some orgasms, a quick menage and then were getting married...It felt more like a short crime drama with a little romance and D/s thrown in instead of a real romance story.

It was not what I was expecting from this author after her first book. I will read more if/when she publishes more in this series....kinda hoping Brice's best friend gets his own story.

I quite enjoyed this one...even better than the first book.

Brice is awesome and I love that a connection is immediately formed between him and Terryn. Instant smoldering panty melting chemistry here and no stupid childish mind games either. They like each other and they mesh in their BDSM tendencies...so they pursue a relationship. Talk about refreshing!!!

The serial killer mystery was quite interesting and creepy. I did find it a tad predictable though and had the killer IDed early on.

Overall: Super Hot

There are so many wonderful words that can be used to describe this wonderful story. It’s a mystery, suspenseful, erotic love story between a Dom and his sub. Brice is a homicide detective trying to figure out who’s killing the single women of New York. Terryn is Brice’s new sub and he desperately wants to keep her safe.

This was a wonderful love story between Brice and Terryn. Surrounding that story is the mystery of the serial killer. Brice is assigned to the cases and he’s determined to find the psycho and put him behind bars. Terryn, unfortunately, knows all the victims and is being crushed by her grief. Brice helps her through that grief. At the same time, he’s teaching Terryn what it means to be his submissive. While Terryn is a new subbie, the story doesn’t focus on Brice’s training of her. Instead it focuses on their love story and time together.

The connection between Brice and Terryn is strong. Part of that is the threat that comes to Terryn and her friends. Brice is a Dom and a cop. He feels the need to protect those around him. He keeps Terryn close and keeps her busy! The scenes between them are hot and sexy!

Lainey Reese managed to write a hot erotic story and a wonderful mystery all in one. I’m loving this series and I can’t wait to read more. I think we have met the next Dom to get his story. I hope so, cuz he was HOT in this story, so I can only imagine how hot he’ll be in his own story!

It's been about two years since I've ready Lainey Reese's first novel, 'Table for Three' and I was THRILLED to find out that she continued the New York series with Brice's story.

Let me just say that I've read 'Table for Three' more times than another other book on recollection. It was that good and infinitely, eons of times better than 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

Christian Grey? HA. Try Kincade Marshall AND Trevor Wellington. They make Grey look like an amateur.

Brice Marshall (Cade's cousin) is no different from his cousin and leads his life as a damn good detective and Dom. Enter in a fiery redhead with a heart of gold and a serial killer who may be coming after what Brice wants the most.

Fans of 'Table for Three' will not be disappointed with Brice's story and a steamy shower scene that brings back our favorite threesome alongside Brice and Terryn.

I liked the chemistry that Terryn and Brice had, it seemed like right from the start they were ready for each other and knew the encounter would be more than one night.

I found it interesting how Brice's case crashed into what was going on with his real life. I liked Kent and how he was smitten with the coffee girl. Loved how the threesome from the first book played into this one. Their double dates had me laughing, especially the last one at the club. I was a little surprised that Brice let Gage play with them the one night as he seemed more like a "you can look but not touch" kind of a guy.

When the bad guy was revealed I wasn't surprised as it was who I guessed from the start.

I love this series and recommend it to anyone who wants dominant men and a story to go with the hot sex. Brice Marshall only got to look not touch in A Table for Three (New York, #1) by Lainey Reese . Now he gets his own story and he gets the girl, Terryn, another new to the D/s scene (she says with an eye roll). Don't let that stop you, just enjoy another book of male lusciousness and follow along while a murder is solved.

There's a good mystery and lots of scorching sex so it was definitely a very worthwhile read for me. The BDSM content was not as heavy as I wanted it but it was still stimulating enough. The struggling submissive who's trying to discover how far she's willing to go in an S and M relationship always makes for a lot of fascinating scenarios and this book delivers. I haven't read the first book in the series but I will definitely do so.

I had anxiously been waiting for this book after reading the first one and maybe I just had very high expectations after waiting two years for this installment...I really liked Brice from the first book and I still liked him in this one, but I just did not feel a connection to the characters...the book was well done but the story was just "meh" for me

This book had a slightly more developed plot than A Table for Three, but it's still not what I would call "good." Brice was HOT, Terryn wasn't overly annoying and it had some panty-scorching sex scenes that ménage and light BDSM fans will love. Getting to catch up with the cast from the first book was a bonus.
