Stories, essays, photographs, and art reveal the joys and difficulties of life on the family farm, and discuss farm buildings, farmwork, livestock, and other aspects of everyday life
This Old Farm: A Treasury of Family Farm Memories by Michael Dregni (Voyageur Press 1999) (630.97) is a touching collection of stories and photos from the era when most Americans were raised on a family farm. Many fine writers have contributed essays on different aspects of farm life (including Garrison Keillor on "The State Fair"). I highly recommend this sweet and nostalgic volume. My rating: 8/10, finished 5/13/14. HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
