Contains essays by King, Dennis Etchison, Karl Wagner, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Alan Ryan, Douglas Winter, Charles Grant, and more. They explore the current (at the time) state of horror fiction, and there are seemingly hundreds of books discussed, and this guide only covers two years! (though of course there are many references to earlier works as well) Most of these essays and reviews were articles taken from issues of old magazines like Fantasy Newsletter, Whispers, and such.
