I got this in elementary school from the Scholastic book order forms we received every so often. It was one of many I chose.
I always loved this book. The poems are enjoyable, even now that I am an adult. I've also always admired the adorable illustrations. This book of poems just feels so cozy to me.

Summary: Just Around the Corner: Poems About the Seasons is a collection of 25 simple but engaging poems which celebrate holidays and the changing of the seasons. The poems are short, rhythmic in nature, and accompanied by colorful illustrations.

Review: The lyrics in Just Around the Corner are perfectly written in order to engage primary school audiences, and the book is filled with lighthearted poems that are seasonal in nature. The pictures are simple and appealing for younger children.

Classroom uses: This book can be used to teach primary school children about changes that occur as the seasons come and go (such as birds flying south). It can also be used to foster phonological awareness because it is heavily rhyme-based.

Another great poetry book to inspire kids as well as to talk about the seasons! Each season has a few pages dedicated to it and each poem talks about a different characteristic of that season. Great for talking about separate seasons and what happens/what can be seen during each.
