Rate this book
When a gorgeous Middle Eastern journalist disappears at a banquet in Washington, DC, a group of friends attending the party decide to find her. Making use of their network of acquaintances in the world of business, academia and fashion, these amateur detectives quickly uncover clues that lead them into a web of international crime and intrigue. When a prince is murdered at his own birthday party, the friends realize that their quest, which began as a lark, has turned into a deadly game. Determined to solve their mystery, however, the members of this stylish group take on different assignments to piece together the fiendish puzzle. On the trail of the missing journalist, they attend a Greek concert at the Kennedy Center, tango at a class reunion, organize a fashion show at the Ritz, travel to the Swiss Alps and sunbathe on the French Riviera. Their efforts are rewarded when they finally unravel the mystery in a most dramatic manner.
