The Gift by Sidney Williams was a great read. It was packed with suspense, mystery, horror and paranormal. The action was nonstop and full of twists and turns. Just when you think it's finally over you find out that, no, there's more. The suspense continued to build from the beginning to an explosive end. The characters were well developed and realistic, having positive and negative traits, just like we all do. The writing style flowed easily and it was a quick, easy read. I would recommend The Gift to anyone who enjoys action, suspense or paranormal reads, whether you are a young adult or an older adult. There was no bad language or sex, and although there was violence, it was not gory or overly descriptive. As a parent, when my daughter was a young adult, I would have let her read this book without any worries. This book reminded me of a suspense/ horror movie you might watch and really enjoy. This was the first book I've read by this author, I'm looking forward to reading more of his books.
