Upbeat warmhearted story about a sensible young girl named Candy who works for a dream boss Otto of Otto’s Market in a colorful Jersey neighborhood. Bullied by both her mother and best friend to quit for bigoted reasons - the fellow shop owners are a wild ethnic bunch , and also for selfish reasons - both her best friend and mother are bored and lonely. Candy refuses to compromise, she loves her busy lifestyle. And when Otto puts up a sign saying help wanted - a new stock boy ads some romance to a deserving do-gooder like Candy. One of my favorite FLFS!
