Five days. Close quarters. It s enough to drive any woman crazy or into submission

Nikki Kincaid carries her smart mouth and in-your-face attitude like other women carry mace. But the sharpest parts of her razor tongue are reserved for Adam Guthrie, a man who sparks her body s reaction time quicker than a green light. That out-of-control response terrifies her, because control is her middle name. When someone starts sending Nikki threatening letters, Adam jumps at her brother s request to help protect her whether she likes it or not. For the past year and a half he s been watching her, analyzing her body language and cutting remarks, and has come to one definitive conclusion. She s a sexual submissive in hiding. Five days in close quarters is exactly what Adam s been waiting for and Nikki s idea of hell. Bringing her deepest desires to the surface will be the greatest challenge of his life. And, if he succeeds, his greatest reward."

This was a fast read about fast cars driven by a girl who is fast to speak her mind as she is to react to a green light. Nikki has always been in charge of everything in her life. She has to be - one mistake, one slip of her attention and she could end up going the wrong way upside down. When the threats begin, Adam "Tight Ass" doesn't leave her out of his sight. But he wants to be more than at her side - he wants to be inside her, mind body and soul, and break her submissiveness out of its stubborn cell.

I was disappointed this was such a short read. In only a few pages though, Ms. Lynne managed to develop a good plot, with quite the perky characters. From an over-protective brother who is full of surprises, to a certifiable mother whose presence can only mean trouble, this story had me smiling.

I do however have an issue with Dom men in literature who claim they can "read" others and know whether they are submissive. This is such crap :( We really don't come with signs or a "one size fits all" guidelines, and if anyone claims to "feel" someone is a sub, they are probably sensing the weariness of every day life and should definitely be avoided or treated with caution.

Just my 2 cents.

I really did enough this read. I loved the description of how Nikki fights her submissive side, and Adam can see it there and slowly pulls her true feelings to the surface.
I also enjoyed the story of a female racing driver which is unusual in itself. The contrast of a female having to Dominate in a Male dominated sport, but truly wants to submit to a man when it comes to passion. The added spice is her being threatened by an unknown, and all the men who work and know rally round to protect her.
It's a lovely story and I would read again....I just wanted more. I didn't want it to end.
This story was just too short for me

Very cute quick story. I caught an excerpt in the back of another book I had finished. Another Dom/Sub book... The story was a fast read and pretty exciting. Not bad as a little fill in while waiting to start another story.

Book's cover and title looked promising, but the book was a disappointment. No real plot and no real action.

This was the first book I read by Alannah Lynne and I loved it. I hope Alannah writes a sequel to this.
