Volume 6/17 of Avatar: The Legend of Aang Comics Series is the graphic novel adaptation of the hit Nickelodeon cartoon, so there is no "new" content unlike the succeeding Avatar: The Last Airbender Comics Series which details Aang's adventures AFTER the cartoon ends. This issue covers the Katara's "fake" earth-bending to infiltrate a fire nation prison and rescue a villager who was taken by the Fire Nation after she exhorted him to earth bend instead of hiding his talents. This wasn't easy as the Fire Nation's troops aren't exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Fire Nation Soldier: "That Lemur, he's earthbending!"
Sokka: "No, you idiot, it's the girl!"

The writing in these comics are still juvenile, so I can't rate this very high. But honestly this is probably one of the more enjoyable arcs in Avatar The Last Airbender, since it involves Katara being a revolutionary heroine, slowly bringing the downtrodden Earth Nation prisoners hope and giving them the strength to do one of my favorite tropes - the prison break!
