I got this book in a charity shop, I'm not sure why I picked it up. I thought at the time this is going to be hippy dippy junk. I read it thinking this is really silly a colour that can help my back-ache. However I was in pain so I decided why not try it, even if it's to prove what I already suspect.
I was shocked to find that it worked. I read the entire book, trying the various color remedies out on my friends and family. Finding color does has an impact on your health. It'a not a miracle book claiming to cure terminal or serious illness. However I now believe in the power of color. I always believed color can help influence moods and feelings, but I never thought color could influence health and well being. I have completely changed my mind on this matter. It's one of my best little charity shop finds!
(It's not an entertaining read. It's more like a reference book.)
Well written and perfect to expand your knowledge on the topic of healing with color. It mainly focuses on meditation but does include other options such as candles and water (though this does have an emphasis on visualization still). Overall, great resource on the topic.
A great beginners guide to working with color healing. This book offers basic information about colors and specific strategies to use in order to benefit from the healing properties of colors. I will use the information learned in the book to level up my healing abilities.
I bought this second-hand, not really knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the information and will be referencing it in my healing modalities
This is an outstanding introduction into the energy, colour vibration and the many of uses of colour in healing. I read it many years ago as an absolute beginner and have been able to apply the concept to help others. I've also combined colour with personal development to teach transformational topics.
Especially good tip, using cool blue light to help with headaches.
If you are fascinated by the way colours make you feel and you want to know more, this is the book. I would highly recommend all of Ted Andrews books in this series.
I read this book because I was interested in light therapy. Something like get outside for your 20 minutes of Vitamin D everyday. But this book was a bit "out-there" for me because I wasn't really ready for its content. I will keep it on hand as an interesting reference for color and maybe turn to it for useful tips in the future. I ended it with a breeze read just checking for things that might prove useful in the future. I found the reference and usefulness of the chakra points interesting.
Not what I was expecting (which was more how does color effect mood, tone, or tenor in a room) but nonetheless an interesting take on how color may impact healing and/or illness.
I am not knowledgeable enough about chakras, and /or metaphysical medicine to give this book a fair review, but it certainly appears that the author is passionate and committed to the subject. Interesting stuff!
Yay for color therapy! It's a really great! Give it a whirl. Again, Ted goes into explicit detail in this book...using light to heal, using candles, color in your meditations, stones, chakra balancing...it's a great lil book!
I'd love to experiment more with healing with color. I truly believe it can work, however I did not see the results I was hoping for with my elderly German Shepherd back when I ordered the book. The problem was probably more on my end. This book, or one like it, is definitely worth reading.
