Extremely silly, but the system rewards leaning into the whole ridiculous Captain Planet-ness of it all. It's unfortunate that some of the Werewolf tribes are outright ethnostates, but that's 1990s edgelordery for you. Full review: https://refereeingandreflection.wordp...

Basic Premise: Rules for playing werewolf (Garou) characters in the World of Darkness.
This book outlines the basics of the Garou nation- the tribes, auspices, enemies, allies, and everything else. It's pretty organized for a White Wolf book, and peppered with short stories for flavor. The art is good, if black and white, and expressive, giving fantastic context to the different elements being illustrated.
Werewolf was probably my favorite game to play and run from the entire White Wolf universe, as it had a good balance of combat, social interaction, magic, etc. It is a really well-written game.

The best oWoD setting. Mystical, violent, spiritual, complex yet simple in mechanics, dramatic... It has it all.

I never had the opportunity to play the game, but I loved reading the background material.
This book introduced me to the interesting and vastly unexplored and unappreciated world of werewolves.

again part of my WOD days, I really enjoyed Werewolf but not as much as Mage.
