SCOOTER The Little Tiger with a Big Heart Jamie Gibson (11), star pitcher of her Waterbury, Vermont, Little League baseball team, and her brother Ted (7), rescue a rare white Siberian Tiger cub they find trapped in an abandoned car. The children fall in love with the playful cub and name him Scooter. Their mother, Traci, a veterinarian, and the town's sheriff, Dave Hawn, are sure the cub was smuggled into Vermont by a gang of exotic animal smugglers. When the smugglers attempt to get him back, Jamie realizes that Scooter is in danger again. Determined to protect him, she takes Scooter and runs away into the mountains. Now Jamie is in danger, too. In a dramatic showdown involving dozens of exotic animals and a runaway airplane, Scooter becomes instrumental in capturing the smugglers and reuniting Jamie and her mother.
      
SCOOTER is a coming-of-age story that focuses on the relationship that develops between an eleven year old girl, Jamie Gibson,and a rare Siberian tiger cub she saves from animal smugglers. It is a story of action and adventure, youthful braggadocio and comical antics from Jamie's younger brother, Ted, and culminates in an exciting capture and heartwarming reunion for Jamie and her mother.
