Multi-syllable WordBuilder
The Multi-syllable WordBuilder series is an educational program for teaching phonics to more advanced students learning to decode two- and three-syllable words. It consists of 6 volumes, plus a Teacher's Manual. Each volume presents vocabulary words which follow a carefully controlled progression of syllable types. The books are designed for tutors working with individuals or small groups, with the student reading page on one side and the teacher dialogs and comprehension questions on the facing page. Multi-syllable helps students in third grade and above crack the complex codes of multi-syllable words; combines decoding assistance and vocabulary building; and enables students to make the leap to proficiency.
