Kat and John do what they need to do to get by - and then their paths cross. John is Kat's job - her mark.
A fast paced book which takes place mostly over the space of one steamy week. John is none to pleased to have been marked, especially as he was about to start his own life over.
I won a copy of this book in a FB giveaway but I adore Lily's writing anyway. She always brings a depth to her characters that always leaves me wanting to know more about them.

Kat is an elite car thief and John is her victim. She's feisty, spurred on by her fears and trusts no one. John is a brooding, sexy, ex army guy who's not all he seems. I liked them both immediately as I was transported into their lives. There's sweet and tender moments between them even though they're enemies. And their sexy times are so erotic and panty melting HOT! The storyline is brilliant, it's gritty at times, fraught with danger and exciting twists. I loved it and highly recommend it!

This was a good read. Thief was well written with plenty of action and storyline as well as erotic scenes to keep the reader interested and reading to see what happens between the two main characters.
This book takes place over the course of a week for the main part of it and it was never boring. Kat and John keep each other on their toes not to mention many other positions. The pace was just right with never a moment that I just wanted to stop reading.
We are given background on both main characters throughout the story which lets us see why they make the decisions that they do. They were several twists in this story that I was not expecting but in the end it was still a great story.
John is a perfect match for Kat. They are from opposite backgrounds as well as jobs but that is what makes them great together. Now they both need the same thing from each other. If only they can see that and not throw it away from foolish pride. The bad guy in this story Carlos was very well written and I loved seeing him get what was coming.
I would recommend checking out this book. Throughout the book all I kept thinking about was the movie Gone in 60 seconds. The plot isn’t the same but she just stole the cars so smoothly.

Best romantic erotic novel I’ve read in a LONG time. Super steamy. Levels of dark and grey. But loved the MCs and how they both found each other.

Thief is a damn great tale that races along like a hunting dog after a rabbit. Kat has a job to do—stealing cars and delivering them to her rather nasty boss, Carlos. He isn’t someone you want to mess with, so even if Kat has to use seductive wiles to get her victims good and drunk to enable her to steal their vehicles, she’ll do it. Her latest victim, John, doesn’t get drunk as she’d expected, though, and she ends up having sex with him. Afterwards, when he’s asleep, she takes his keys and his car, but he hears her leave and watches helplessly as she speeds away.
Helplessly…that’s not quite true. John is far from helpless. He follows Kat and, when she arrives back at her apartment, he makes his presence known—and the fact that he isn’t going to let her get away with what she’s done. No, he isn’t bothered that he’s lost the car—he’s more bothered about losing what was inside. He’d stashed some diamonds in the boot, diamonds that were his key to a new life. Now, he makes sure Kat knows she’s going to help him get them back, and she isn’t allowed out of his sight until he has that little pouch of gems back in his possession.
The week they spend together before Kat’s next hit is amusing. She’s unable to get hold of Carlos to find out where John’s car went because Carlos contacts her via letter. So, their only option is for Kat to steal another car and have John follow her to the pick-up point, where Carlos will be waiting. As I said, the week the pair spend together is funny. It’s also hot, revealing, and has an intensity to it that makes you wish you were Kat with John in your bed. Oh, yeah! He’s hot to trot and then some.
The week draws to a close with Kat and John having feelings for each other, but they are still bent on deceiving one another about the diamonds. After all, once a thief, always a thief, right?
If you like your characters to fall in love but battle with one another every step of the way, you’ll love Thief. A cool plot, great dialogue, funny moments, and lots of sexual tension. What more could you ask for?

It’s not often that I say I adore a book but I truly adored this one. John and Kat are two kindred souls. They are both willing to do what ever needs to be done to secure their future. Kat has stolen something from John and he intends on getting it back by any means. What they didn’t expect was to enjoy one another’s company so much. Kat never had anyone to care for her growing up so when she was getting the attention she wanted from John it scared her. She would try to push him away but since John was one hot stubborn man all it did was make him want to be even closer to her. This book had some real steamy sex scenes. I just loved how Lily portrayed these characters and it was a very well written story.
