Reading the horoscope and all the luck in the world won’t protect you from a madman!
For two 12-year-old boys, Corey and Evan couldn’t be more of a clash. While Corey faces life head-on and doesn’t believe in good fortune, Evan is extremely superstitious and must read his daily horoscope every morning before leaving his property . . . except on June 21st. This is the day Corey forces his friend to venture downtown to witness a dead body that fell thirteen stories. Evan is distraught until he finally locates a copy of the Bluff Ridge Post at a creepy antique store at an inflated price. Since Corey doesn’t want the day to end, they enter a dangerous section of town. While on the wrong side of the tracks, Corey witnesses something he shouldn’t have seen. If that wasn’t enough to face, Evan’s trusty horoscope keeps giving him new instructions that Corey is reluctant to follow.
Four-Told is the companion piece to In Dark Places. Both stories take place on the same day with some events intersecting. Full of suspense and unexpected turns.
