Ryan's new phone has everything - satellite tracking, movies, broadband. It's a dream phone. And then the messages start, and the visions...and soon the dream becomes a nightmare.
Nigel Hinton was born and educated in London. After two years in advertising, he worked as an English teacher for nine years. His first novel, Collision Course (winner of the Dutch Silver Pen Award) was written as a result of a challenge from one of his pupils. He began teaching part-time and also worked as a professional actor before concentrating on his writing.
Nigel is the ever-popular author the Beaver Towers series of stories for primary school readers (which has been adapted for TV), and, for secondary school readers, he wrote the Buddy trilogy. His novel The Finders won him the Federation of Children’s Book Groups Award.
Maybe it's just me that is scared easy...but this book was fucking terrifying. Finally over. Won't spoil and say what kind of end it had or certain scenes, just...wow. scary - good jon Nigel - and horrible. Why writing this? I kept thinking. And then, but good idea. The concept is great. The books sent me nightmares. LITERALLY.
It's your basic low tier horror book made for tweens and teens. I was the perfect target audience as a 12 year old. But there were certain instances that made me jump after re-reading this. Nevertheless, I would do anything to read this for the first time.
It was entertaining enough to keep my attention and just creepy enough to make me think it could freak me out if I was home alone in the dark. However, it didn't really have depth or a captivating character... It's a good book to fly through in 20 minutes though.
