機緣巧合之下，溫以凡跟曾被她拒絕過的高中同學桑延過上了合租的生活。兩人井水不犯河水，像是同住一屋簷下的兩個陌生人。

First Frost (Part 2) — Zhu Yi

Did not plan on starting a new book collection this week… but here we are 📚
I grabbed this Chinese edition of The First Frost (Parts 1 & 2) on Amazon Vine simply because the covers were gorgeous. The algorithm clearly knows I love books and interesting things from other countries and cultures.
After looking them up, I realized they’re connected to a newly popular series in China… and one of the related books is getting an official English release in August.
So now I have the Chinese books and the English version on preorder. (And the other two Chinese books from the same universe are arriving later this week.)
📚 Here’s to starting a book collection with a fun story behind it.
Even though I can’t read the language these books are written in, I can still appreciate the quality and presentation. These editions are absolutely beautiful. The covers feature gorgeous artwork, and the illustrations inside are just as eye-catching.
The books arrived well packaged and in great condition. Each one also came with several extras like posters, stickers, and other small goodies, which was a really fun surprise and made the set feel even more special.
Even without being able to read the text, they’re wonderful to flip through and display. The overall design and artwork were clearly done with a lot of care. I’m really happy to have them, and now I’m excited to read the story when the English version releases.

“Thank you, Zhu Yi, for bringing Wen Yifan and Sang Yan into this world,”
we all say in unison.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM WITH EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING.
Wen Yifan finally getting the life she’s been quietly dreaming of. The life she fought for. The life she deserves. I’m violently sobbing.
Seeing her finally feel wanted, chosen, and loved after EVERYTHING she went through, all the ups and downs and roller coasters, that healed something in me.
And Sang Yan. A MAN WHO YEARNS IS A MAN WHO EARNS. He yearned. He waited. He stayed. Total green forest. The standard. The blueprint. The bar is in the clouds.
The romance in this second volume is so, SO soft. I want what they have. I’m filing a formal petition to be their third wheel.
I love how the book is more straightforward than the drama. Less branching plotlines and it only focuses on what matters: Wen Yifan and Sang Yan. The build-up. The bonding. The slow-burn. The quiet healing.
I’m OVERWHELMED with delight that Zhao Yuandong, Che Xingde, and Che Yanqin finally got their karma. SERVED THEM RIGHT.
And yes, I’m still mourning the fact that Dian Dian the cat exists only in the drama and not in the book. You will be missed. You were bigger than the whole sky.

W udh kelarin 2 book ini dalam 5 hari :D,
total 900-an halaman bisa dianggap 1000 sih (in total ya). Kemarin padahal w lagi
reading slump parah (bayangin saya belum kelarin 1 pun buku fisik di feb :")). Tapi thanks to the first frost, w berhasil keluar dari reading slump lolll.
Ya, Ya, ini ada drachin-nya, monggo
nonton. W kasih rating ⭐️4 nih.
Ini ceritanya sesimpel, org yg dulu saling suka ga sempet ungkapin--justru disakiti--dan berakhir ketemu lagi. Hitungannya second chances romance, with a little trauma experience. Mulai dari nih ml yg takut klo disakitin lagi sama nih fl, dan fl yg berjuang untuk overcome her past. It's good, Tapi W tetep ada kritik.
Pertama; ada mistranslation di buku ini. Awalnya gelang malah jadi kalung (w cuma nangkep itu), trus harusnya bakal lebih better klo dibanyakin footnote yg berdasarkan chinese language. Ini considering work as a fiction ya. Mlnya ini oke, diluar dia nyebelin mampus. Tapi pas baca pov ml-nya yg dia perhatiin fl tapi ga berani deketin ini klo dipikirkan ya--it 's actually a bit stalker behavior, tapi emg bukan stalk yg parah. Ini karena fl-nya suka aja makanya ga ter-offeded. Coba klo engga :))
but still sanyang and wuyifan, salah satu ml dan fl terbaik sih untuk chinese novel.

Menyakiti seseorang tidak cuma bisa lewat ucapan. Diam dan menghindar juga bisa menyakiti kalian berdua.
Finally, tamat juga baca buku ke 2nya!! DAN SANG YANG I LOVE YOU!!! Sekarang aku mengerti kenapa banyak sekali yang mencintai karakter Sang Yan :'))))))) Dan untuk Yifan, terimakasih sudah tumbuh dengan baik, serta kuat untuk tetap menjalani hidup di dunia yang kejam ini hikss.
Untuk kak Naomi yang sudah menerjemahkannya, terimakasih banyak kak! Alur ceritanya mengalir dan tidak kaku untuk terjemahannya.
Akan tiba saatnya seseorang muncul dihidupmu. Dia yang membuatmu menyadari bahwa... orang dewasa pun bisa percaya pada dongeng.

..., seakan-akan ingin memberitahuku bahwa tidak ada seorang pun di dunia ini yang akan menolak datangnya cahaya.
Rasanya benar juga.
Kenapa meolak datangnya cahaya? Siapapun berhak untuj berdiri di bawah naungan cahaya mentari. Tidak peduli apa yang terjadi kepadanya di masa lalu, asalkan bertekad untuk berjalan ke depan, orang itu pasti akan menemukan cahayanya sendiri.

I feel like I'm more in love with Sang Yan than with Jia Xu. I really can't believe that Sang Yan was the type of man who fell in love with only one woman in his entire life. This makes me respect him more 🥺❤️

March 2, 2025Watching the show and obviously I couldn’t control my curiosity so I read it and it was fun. Sang Yan and Xen Yifan are my favorite trope ever: second chance. Their story was dark and windy but they finally did make it to each other and that’s beautiful.
