I remember the series from my childhood. No, I didn’t grow up in the sixties, but my elementary school sold them or gave them away, I can’t remember which, as “obsolete books”, a practice many schools still engage in. A simple adventure that still holds up. Perhaps the fist fighting scenes reflect a time when children’s heroes like the Lone Range used actual bullets to stop “the bad guys”, but it’s nothing too objectionable. A story about racing and hot rods with some followup question that your average fifth grader should be able to handle.
