Rate this book
Harley Taizer wasn’t used to dealing with her greedy parents. They’d never wanted her and made it perfectly clear by giving her to her grandfather. It’s funny how things change when money is involved. Discovering the trust fund her grandfather set up for her, her parents show up demanding the money be given to them. Afraid of just how far his son and daughter in-law will go to get it, her grandfather brings in a security specialist to help protect her.

Kasper Drake hasn’t met a trust fund baby he liked, though he is one himself. Upon meeting his uncle’s newest client he’s willing to throw out all his preconceived notions out the window. He’s trying to get Harley to admit to their fierce attraction when her father shows up demanding to know who Kasper is. She tells him that he’s her fiancée. Kasper latches onto her lie hoping to make her see how good it could be.

I live in Massachusetts. My husband and I have been married for what seems like forever sometimes. I have three great kids, a beautiful granddaughter, and two crazy dogs. When I’m not totally caught up in getting my characters and scenes fleshed out I can usually be found with my nose stuck in a book, or snuggled up on the couch watching a movie.

The story started out well, but I put it down after the references to arousal, which detracted from the story for me.

“None For You and All For Me,” or “Watch Your Back or I’ll Walk All Over It” was how Harley Taizer saw her mother and father.

It's funny how relatives come out of the woodwork when they get wind of someone inheriting a large amount of money. The heroine lived with her grandfather and had very little contact with her parents, until they found out she had a trust fund. Harley’s grandfather knew how her parents were and he wanted to protect her.

From chapter one Harley grabbed my heartstrings and held on to them throughout the story. After being raised and loved by her grandfather, she had very little love for her parents and for good reasons.

Kasper Drake is asked by his uncle to set up security for Harley’s trust fund and falls in lust (or is it love?) at first sight. He is determined to protect both her and her grandfather from her parents' greed by staging a fake engagement. I found myself sighing as I watched Kasper work to shield both Harley and her grandfather. I wished for a man just like him. All the characters come across as real life people and wormed their way into my heart.

It took me a few days to gather my thoughts and run through my feelings on this book once I was finished with it. Not because it was a bad story but because there was so much passion and emotion throughout that I did not know where to begin. There are some books that just hit so close to home and the feeling of the characters are so real that I had to take a step back and saver all the details and events in the plot that made the tale an outstanding story.

The Millionaire’s Fake Fiancée is one book I will be adding to my bookshelf to read again in the future. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author and cannot wait to tell my mother about this one.

I enjoyed this book immensely but rated it lower because A) Its a short book and B) I've read other stories by this author and they all just seem to follow the same formula.

That being said I still loved the story of a simple middle-class girl who comes into money through inheritance. Her Grandfather who adopted and raised her from the day she was born never hears from her biological parents until they need money from her Grandfather. Now that they've learned of her inheritance out of the wood works they come again.

Wanting his granddaughter to make good choices he enlists help from the financial company managing the money and enlists the young security specialist to oversea things with his daughter. The arrangement quickly (and by quickly I'm not exaggerating) ignites into a romance and follows the young couple.

It's a great story but is fast paced and like all of Rita's stories just seem unrealistic. I know books make anything reality but seriously come on people don't come together this quickly in real life.

Overall I quickly read the story and it kept my attention and the low price didn't leave me upset about the length of the story.

I really enjoyed reading Kaspar and Harley's story. The author does a good job in telling their love story. The parents were a bit over the top and the premise not especially believable, but the rest of the tale more than made up for it. Harley is much more than the good girl people see on the surface, and Kaspar notices that right away. The subplot of his relationship with his parents is a nice counterpoint to Harley's family dynamic. This is a well-written and entertaining tale.

I do not like the story line. It was confusing and vague at the beginning. I only begun to understand the story when i reach half of the book. It was romantic though, love at first site, swept off the feet and got married with a handsome guy/beautiful girl.

One of the many books with a doubtful woman over a clearly bewitched man the twist are good but found it a little light. I consider it more a family story but happy endings are still the best
