热爱画画的阿龙在暮色降临时就会出现在大理古城的人民路或者广武路上摆摊卖画，画画。他画人民路上摆摊的同伴，六月的雨夜里措手不及的摊贩和游客；画集市上卖辣子的阿孃和背着竹筐四处走动的人；画他和女友在村子租住的院子里养的几只鸡、数盆花草，画村里旧墙上一天中不断变化的光影，墙角的一只蛐蛐；画他看到的火把节、村里老人的出殡……他的目光深静细腻，他的画是他的观看之眼，是他对生活全部的感受，而画里的留白则有无尽的画外之意。
