The warm winds of spring are blowing across the prairie, and Charlotte finds out that Heather Creek Farm has been voted Adams Country Farm of the Year. She is thrilled, but she’s not sure she’s up to the tasl of organizing an open house to celebrate the honor, and when heavy rains cause Heather Creek to rise quickly, it’s not just the open house that’s in danger. Hannah and Frank Carter’s fields start to flood and only quick thinking will save their home.

Christopher is thrilled to be able to use his weather station to monitor the extreme weather, but Emily’s upcoming birthday threatens to be a painful reminder of everything they’ve lost. Meanwhile, Sam is developing a new interest at school—her name is Arielle. And when an injury sidelines Charlotte, the long awaited open house may be a washout. As neighbors pull together to help neighbors, the unshakeable faith of this tight-knit community continues to give them hope that there are better days ahead.

The farm has been picked as the farm of the year and they only have 3 weeks to get ready. Bob isn’t impressed by having been picked as farm of the year and Charlotte can’t figure out how she will get everything ready for the open house in 3 weeks. It keeps raining putting the planting behind and then the flooding starts. With the loss of power and mud everywhere the last thing Charlotte needs is to hurt her back and have to be bedridden.

In April's Hope the Stevensons were chosen Farm Family of the Year and have only three weeks to spruce up the farm before the open house. Bob doesn't want to get involved. Charlotte and Pete think they can do it,. Unfortunately April brings more than mere rain to Heather Creek. The creek is flooding and it's soon-to-be Emily's 15th birthday.

Another good book in the series. Charlotte hurts her back while trying to the farm ready for an open house because the Heather Creek farm was voted Farm of the Year. She also has to prepare for Emily's up coming birthday, and on top of all that there are heavy rains and flooding, and neighbors need to be helped out. Can Charlotte ask for help? Read the book to find out. Can't wait to read the next book!

This book was yet another good, easy-to-read, before-bed read. I enjoyed the story. Just a simple story about life on a ranch, dealing with hardships from the perspective of the wife/mother/grandmother. They make me feel good about life and not hype me up before bed.

I love how each author keeps the story flowing from one book to the next. I had to read this while I'm waiting for the prior book that I requested from the library. So, for the time being I'm reading some Christmas stories for now.

Another good story about how the Stevensons pull together as a family when crisis hits. They not only help their neighbors but when they are chosen to be the Farm Family of the year their family and friends come together to help them get ready for the event after Charlotte injures her back.
