wait a minute,
- the fmc didn't just undress the sleeping and thus non consensual love interest because she was horny, i must have hallucinated.
- and the love interest's cousin didn't just kissed him right ?
- and the love interest didn't start screaming and blaming the fmc because she was sexually assaulted ? this can't be real right ?

turns out, all of these things did actually happen in this volume and i am completely horrified, terrified and disgusted.

This one starts off with Soju showing Shuusei the photo where he kisses Aoi, but the younger doesn't seem bothered by it at all. He plays it off very well which is more than I can say about Aoi, she punches Soju in the face and it was a wonderful moment. The asshat deserved it! Aoi apologizes to Shuusei for her behavior but he tells her to that Soju's kiss doesn't count as her first kiss and kisses under her eye.

While studying Aoi’s female friends talk about what parts they like most about men’s bodies and it gets Aoi nervous as everything about Shūsei turns her on. It even gets kind of weird where she's trying to touch him in his sleep. I think this scene was meant to be sexy but it was just awkward to me.

Shuusei’s little cousin Momo visits and wants him to take her to the water park. Where she treats him like her boyfriend. Again, this chapter in the story is kind of weird too. She's family and yet she's pressing her chest against him and just weird. But again, it is fiction and not real so while it was weird, it didn't really bother me that much. It really came down to her just being so lonely.

Aoi and Shuusei plan to go to the fireworks festival, but her brother Kento shows up and drama unfolds. At first Kento doesn't like Shuusei and thinks he's just using his sister but once he gets to know him, he says he will cover for Aoi with their father. They end up enjoying the fireworks as this volume comes to a close.

This one is a lot better than the last one but it's still kinda weird compared to the first two. I'm still going to keep reading this series as I do find it fun and like I said in my review for volume 1, I'm so picky when it comes to art style that it's hard for me to find a manga I want to read. So hopefully, volume 5 is more like 1-2 and not 3-4 but we shall see!

*More like 3.5 stars than 3.*

I just don’t know why I’m still reading this deplorable manga. It’s honestly low grade romance where the love interest is constantly teasing, demeaning, and borderline sexually harassing the protagonist. Yet there’s something about it where there’s some entertaining moments and even heartfelt moments sprinkled in and always an enticing cliffhanger.

And this must be the 4th manga I’ve read where the love interest pins the protagonist down to show her what other guys would do to her to make her protect herself. I still think there has to be a better way to make these naive imbeciles wake up to the daily plight of women all around the world. The way the protagonist lets all guys walk all over her is so tiring, she has no backbone or standards and it’s unbelievable. Just one of the many problems that detract from the enjoyability of this manga.

BUT Aoi's little brother is fun I can't stop laughing at how chaotic he was. I mean, he's correct in all the right places—any outsider's would frown at their situation, and Shusei looks suspicious, but it's funny. Especially when he finally tracked the condoms and was like: Well, aren't you a couple of rabbits in heat. The hell, I was wheezing!!

This is like a transition volume where nothing much happens.
In the beginning we discover that sushei’s brother doesn’t have good intentions. He told Aoi he wanted to see his little brother happy but in the end he wanted to provoke him and make him angry. He showed him the picture he took without her consent and told him she was lying. Aoi tries to apologize because she’s been played and she wanted to learn how to make him happy. Sushei says spending time with her and getting to see her laugh makes him happy but she shouldn’t try too hard because in the end she would get hurt. He also says even if her first kiss was stolen (his own brother assaulted her without her consent to teach her how to kiss sushei and make him happy) he takes it back and she will have her first kiss with someone special and who deserves it.
Later on during school Aoi and her friends are talking about body fetishes and turn ons like hands, glasses, the clavicle and when sushei is helping her with homework she realizes he has them all. She tries to get closer to him and even touches without his consent while he is sleeping which again made me really uncomfortable. All of the volumes so far had any kind of assault and idk what it’s the intention the author had in mind. Anyways later on sushei’s cousin Momo appears. They seem to be really close (she kisses him ) and sushei’s sister realize he is not into Aoi. Aoi offers herself to go as a chaperone for momo and sushei and honestly it was kind of lame. Momo lost her father and she’s an only child and she’s alone but she’s rude to Aoi and tells her sushei is out of her league and she would never look at her. Honestly momo tries to make Aoi look bad. She steals her bikini top and some guys try to assault her but Aoi saves her by putting her on the line until sushei’s saves her. Momo confess her feelings but Sushei says they are family and they will always be. Momo is devastated but at least she tried and she will always be closer to him so Aoi can have him for a little while. Again this plot was weird and incestous so I’m not a big fan of it.
Later on she wants to go the fireworks but her friend Moe has plans so sushei offers to go with her. In the end Kento (Aoi’s brother) appears to visit her sister and he is surprised to find a guy living there. He thinks he is doing bad stuff with his sister and dishonoring them and he finds the condoms. They go all together to the festival and kento and sushei don’t get along. Kento notices her sisters feelings for the prince but she doesn’t want to ruin the friendship and what they have even if she wants to shout up that she’s in love with him. In the end Kento finds a girl flirting with sushei and he assumes the worst so he punches Sushei because he thinks he is playing with her sister. He loves her sister even if she has a bad temper and doesn’t want her to get hurt and cry for sushei. What susprised me a lot, is the fact that sushei let the guy punch him several times because he is not going to leave her and let her brother take her away from him. It was a nice gesture and in the end, they kind of bond. Sushei realizes Aoi has a great family and they watch the fireworks. Kento is gone and tells her sister to go at her own pace with her feelings and not to do any sexual stuff. Sushei got her tickets for the fireworks and in the end they almost kiss but it didn’t happen.
Honestly the volumes are kind of dragging and nothing is happening. The first volume was refreshing because I thought he was really into her but since that one I haven’t feel any tension. Every girl wants to be with him (including his own cousin) and Aoi is willing to repress her feelings just to be with him as a friend but he treats her kind of bad. He’s always making jokes with her breast size and he admits his turn on is giving her a hard time. He’s always rude and I’m not a fan of it so idk if I’ll continue it

I had been going to give up after volume 3, but since these were borrowed from a friend, this one was right there, so I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, there are still some tropey bits with Shuusei 'teasing' Aoi in ways which embarass her -- but she's not telling him to stop, either, even when she's riled up, so I handwave this as a strange consensual courtship ritual rather than the harassment it would be in real life. I'm not going out of my way to find more of these, but if they show up in the next delivery from my manga-sharing friend I'll keep going & see how they are.

My Review:
I liked this volume much better than the last time because there was so much sexual assault and trickery that it was disgusting. One thing about these volumes if you get into them or are debating if you want to keep reading them, is that the groping and sexual assault unfortunately does not get any better in the later volumes. In this particular volume there is only one scene where Shusei undoes Aoi's bra and feels her up, which is obviously not right.

Other than that, this was a pretty entertaining volume, there are some really cute and sweet moments between Aoi and Shusei and I felt this volume was much more original than the last one.

SPOILER ALERT BELOW. Do not read any further if you don't want to read them.
I'll admit that I totally saw it coming that Soju is a complete asshole. I knew he had a hidden motivation and agenda all along. Even though he "pretended" to be on Aoi's side to help her get Shusei's attentions, I knew that he was scum when he kissed Aoi. I also kind of thought maybe the author was hinting that he was not a very good man because he "stole Shusei's girlfriend" away. I was so happy when Aoi stood up for herself, because she doesn't do it as much as she should and socked Soju right in the face! He totally deserved it for trying to screw with Aoi and Shusei's relationship.

I also liked how Shusei got a little bit of his own revenge on Aoi for lying to him. Even though Shusei teases her way too much, for the most part I thought it was harmless how he teased her by using Habenero sauce in her dinner and tricking her into checking out porn videos. Aoi is so naive that it was pretty hilarious!

As Aoi's feelings for Shusei grow, she continues to become more curious about him, including being physically attracted to him, Shusei catches on to this and pins her down and feels her up in response. This really ticks me off. It's totally ok and normal for a young girl to be curious about a man's body which is one thing, but it's another for Shusei to take advantage of Aoi because he knows that. I honestly don't understand why we are seeing a at least one scene like this in every novel. If I wasn't so curious to see what happens to Shusei and Aoi's relationship, then I would put this series down in a heartbeat.

After all that, we meet Momo who is jealous of Aoi for being close to Shusei. Because she is jealous when they go to the pool Momo unties Aoi's bikini top. Afterwards, Momo is harassed by some young guys because she's cute and despite what Momo did to Aoi, Aoi sacrifices herself to distract the young men and protect Momo from being assaulted. Hmph! Shows what a better person Aoi is. When Momo realized how sweet and good of a person Aoi is, she realizes that what she did is really wrong and she apologizes to Aoi and admits her feelings for Shusei (WHAT?! Hello your his cousin!). It's possible Momo is just jealous of Aoi and Shusei's attentions, but I really interpreted this scene as Momo actually really liking Shusei. The whole scene very entertaining, but seriously? It's your cousin, stupid! So now, not only do we have teachers lusting after Shusei, but we also have "kissing cousins." Oh brother! I think even Shusei realizes his cousin is being ridiculous and he talks with her and explains she shouldn't be jealous.

It appears that Shusei may indeed have feelings for Shusei after all as Shusei admits to Aoi's brother that he does not planning on leaving her. Despite this, Shusei does not act on his feelings yet for whatever reason, whether he is not ready or has some secret reason for not doing so. In the end, readers can take pleasure in Shusei and Aoi watching the fireworks together.

As soon as I finished Volume 3 in this series, I downloaded the manga from Kindle Unlimited and read it within less than an hour. I'd probably say even within 30 minutes. I enjoyed it, but out of all the books so far in the series, I would say that this is the most disappointing and is a bit of a let down. I do think that it is because of the climactic cliffhanger of the previous volume is the main reason why I say that. The plot of the last volume is resolved within the first chapter of this volume, and the rest is come down and calmness. There's a lot of sweet scenes, but nothing that's like completely gripping like the previous volume.

With the characters, in this volume we meet Aoi's younger brother. I didn't mind him but I knew that he wasn't going to be much of an obstacle in this chapter. I am really liking Aoi's characterisation. I don't particularly know why, because she is the stereotypical kinda ditsy female shojo lead but there is something about her that makes her different from the stereotype that I like.

I would highly recommend this series to anybody that likes shojo mangas!

Why is it always like this? The FL is just so weak.
But at least he’s starting to catch some feelings for her.
I’ve read this manga when I was a teen and i was so obsessed but if you asked me what I think rn I would say so many bad things.
Why 4 stars?? I just enjoyed reading it. I CANNOT DENY THAT. AND IM STILL GONNA READ THE WHOLE THING BC I NEED TO SEE SHUSIE IN LOVE AGAIN BEFORE I DIE.

Still very random and jumpy with the plot, but better than the previous volume. However, the cousin part was just awful and....why?!
I hope it gets less gross and freaky in the other volumes. I also hope things start to actually go somewhere between the main characters. I like a slow burn romance but...I’m not sure this really counts as one.

This episode got another 5 star rating from me. It was pretty funny when Aoi's little brother showed up and went into his overacting drama queen role. He accused Aoi and Shusei of being lovers and was a real overactor; kind of like Kenneth Branagh was in his version of Hamlet! I thought her little brother, Kento, was really funny. I will be reading the next episode now.

I like this very silly series enough to read multiple volumes available in English in three days. While the premise can be absurd and it often is overly exaggerated, it’s funny and the main two characters are interesting.

It was okay

Not a huge fan of the cousin arc she was a little much and it’s getting old how people just randomly show up at her door as a way of being introduced. Wish there was a bit more flexibility there. It’s not bad though so I’ll keep reading for now

Better than the third volume, but just meh overall. I may come back to this series in a bit, but for now I’m stopping. communication between the main two characters just isn’t happening and I feel like the story hasn’t progressed much in the last two volumes.
