Nepal constitutes the eastern range for many birds of Europe; and the western range for many Asian birds. For that reason, the array of avian species is dazzling and daunting.

This book covers them all, in an encyclopedic format.

The difficulties i had in birsig had nothing to do with the excellence of this book. The fact is, most of the natural zones where I tried to use this were covered in thick vegetation which placed an emphasis on identifying birds by their call as opposed to plumage. Also, the book did not really focus on eco-zones per se, which woudl have been helpful.
