About the author

Hector Malot was a French writer born in La Bouille, Seine-Maritime. He studied law in Rouen and Paris, but eventually literature became his passion. He worked as a dramatic critic for Lloyd Francais and as a literary critic for L'Opinion Nationale.
His first book, published in 1859, was Les Amants. In total Malot wrote over 70 books. By far his most famous book is Sans Famille (Nobody's Boy, 1878), which deals with the travels of the young orphan Remi, who is sold to the streetmusician Vitalis at age 10. Sans Famille gained fame as a children's book, though it was not originally intended as such.
He announced his retirement as an author of fiction in 1895, but in 1896 he returned with the novel L'amour Dominateur as well as the account of his literary life Le Roman de mes Romans (The Novel of my Novels).

Perhaps it was renowned in its time, but reading it today feels rather clichéd and somewhat artificial. Nevertheless, I truly appreciate his debut Nobody’s Boy, which remains a remarkable work.

Lại một cuốn sách nữa của bác Hector Malot làm mình xúc động vì nó quá xuất sắc xuất sắc. Mình rất thích phong cách viết văn của tác giả, rất cuốn hút, không chỉ dành cho thiếu nhi mà còn cho người lớn. Nhân vật chính trong cả hai tác phẩm mình đã đọc của bác là cuốn này và "Không gia đình" đều phải trải qua hết khó khăn này đến khó khăn khác: sự nghèo đói thiếu thốn, mất đi người mình yêu thương,... rồi cuối cùng vẫn có một kết thúc có hậu. Tất cả đều mang đến sự hồi hộp cho mình. Mình tự hỏi là nếu như mình gặp những khó khăn như vậy, liệu mình có đủ sức và niềm tin để chống chọi lại chúng như Rémi ("Không gia đình") và cô bé Perin trong tác phẩm này không.
Mà trong tác phẩm của ông luôn có những tình tiết bất ngờ và... trùng hợp. Nếu như trong "Không gia đình", cậu bé Rémi lại chính là con trai của người đàn bà đôn hậu trên chiếc thuyền Thiên nga, nơi mà cậu từng ở và gắn bó trong thời gian ngắn thì trong "Trong gia đình", cô bé Perin lại chính là cháu nội của ông Vunphran, chủ nhà máy, người em hết lòng yêu thương, phục vụ và chăm sóc.
Ngòi bút của Hector Malot rất sinh động, tinh tế và dễ hiểu, hợp với tâm lí trẻ. Những chỗ tả phong cảnh chung quanh tác giả tả đặc biệt chi tiết và dễ hình dung. Mấy đoạn mà ông tả về cảnh túp lều trong rừng mà Perin vô tình tìm được chân thực và đẹp kinh khủng!
Hiu hiu nói chung đọc xong hai quyển mà khâm phục Hector Malot quá đi. Mình sẽ cố gắng rèn luyện văn phong thật cuốn hút như tác giả.

Rilettura, in francese, di un classico letto una vita fa, prima della tesi sulla rivoluzione industriale... sarebbe stato utile ricordarmi di Paindavoine e dei suoi stabilimenti, case operaie e delle condizioni di vita descritte nel romanzo... e non ricordavo che Perrine facesse la traduttrice/interprete, lavoro descritto con un'attenzione che non mi aspettavo.

Perrine là một cô bé tốt bụng, trong sáng, đảm đang và tràn đầy nghị lực sống. Mặc dù mất mẹ, gặp đói, nhiều khó khăn vất vả trên đường đi, nhưng em vẫn nhớ lời mẹ dặn là không được ăn cắp và luôn kiên trì đi tiếp. Nhờ lòng tốt bụng, sự tử tế và giỏi giang của mình, em đã khiến mọi người yêu quý và nhận lại được người ông lâu ngày xa cách.

Cá nhân mình thấy thì đây là một cuốn sách rất dễ đọc, phù hợp với các em nhỏ tuổi. Tuy nhiên, nếu đem so sánh với cuốn "Không gia đình" của tác giả thì mình nhận thấy "Không gia đình" hay hơn hẳn. Khi đọc "Không gia đình", cuốn sách đã cho mình sự xúc động mà trong cuốn này không làm được.

Mặc dù vậy, nếu bạn thích "Không gia đình" thì mình nghĩ bạn cũng sẽ thích thú khi đọc "Trong gia đình"!

I was stupid to think this kind of book for kids, now I am a adult so something like theories, economic stories and how to do something is worth. Luckily the beautiful book helped me realized how stupid I was, and what the beauty of purify is. I got more than I expected. The first is relaxing time in a can not move eyes book, the second is reflect on myself . Such a awesome book!

Lu en français après une première lecture en albanais il y a très longtemps, ce classique reste un petit bijou de la littérature française. J'avais presque tout oublié sur l'histoire, mais je n'avais pas oublié combien Perrine était une brave petite fille.

The story was similar with Nobody's Boy, in a girl version. But it was softer and less adventure. Yet I'm glad she found a place she could call home in the end
