George Ames Plimpton was an American journalist, writer, editor, actor, and gamesman. He is widely known for his sports writing and for helping to found The Paris Review.

He was the grandson of George A. Plimpton.

I wish I could give this four stars, but the second half of the book is just not very good. The essays in the first half are excellent, and very interesting. But as Tyson's career goes downhill, the essays start doing too much psychoanalysis, and some barely refer to Tyson.
