Inner Flames: A Solemn Note

I was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. I am a single mom of two beautiful little girls who are my world. I’ve written poetry most of my life as a stepping stone to self-expression as well as to sort feelings. I never was one to share my writing until I came upon Poetics, a poetry site on the Web. I became a moderator for the site, and with encouragement from the site owners, Steve and Maria, I became published. Then I joined a fellow member in opening our own site, The Pen and Quill. After that, with James McHenry, I made the site Heartfelt Poetry. Currently, with two other published poets, I own the site Voices WithIn. I am also the site’s administrator. I enjoy all the natural wonders of life. I have worked with the mentally ill population for over fourteen years as well as with the Department of Corrections in Spokane. This is my second published book. It starts with love felt and love past. It includes some humor, including experiences I have had with my family and my friends. Toward the end it has a tad of a twist. The last two sections contain sensual romance and the darker side of one’s life and experiences. Poetry is my pastime love, and my children’s as well. It has become an everyday relaxation tool in our home. I hope you enjoy all you read. Thank you for all your support. rae
