Outsuka Kanade, a teen seer, can see the future, but she is often undecided whether or not to interfere, unlike her fellow seer, Arou, who refuses to get involved in the lives of those whose past he can see.

This is feel-good manga at it's best. Just enough tension, just enough romance. I loved getting to see Eri better. Overall, loving this series! (I think I said that already!)
In this installment everyone heads out to a hot springs. Kanade agonizes over telling Eri about her ability to see the future. And we see Eri's reaction to it. There are also some hilarious moments where the hot spring switches from guys only to girls only.
Arou's uncle also takes him there with an ulterior motive. We learn more about Arou's mother and how his power allowed him to see her after she died but never create a new moment with her. We find out why Arou's father got rid of all his wife's belongings.
"Mom isn't here but these hands, this flesh, these TEARS are warm. And with that I know I'll be okay."
This series continually hits me right in the heart! 😭😭😭
While I thought it was a great volume and deeply loved the "confession" Kanade tells Eri, it was the ending that completely wrapped around my heart.
While I obviously do not have a power like Arou, the way he grieved and tried to "bring back his mom" really hit me hard. When my Dad passed away when I was little, I remember wanting nothing more than to bring him back and relive the good memories I had with him.
When Arou was reaching out for his mom from the past to help her avoid getting injured only to realize it WAS the past, he calls himself stupid and thinks about how could he forget that he is in the "future" and can't change what happened. THAT scene hit me so so so hard because it's NOT stupid and just wanted Kanade to show up ASAP and bear hug him.
I think it's why it made the quote above so powerful. Yes, he grieved, but there is warmth and beauty in the present too. We never forget our loved ones who have passed, but our loved ones in the present help us not forget they are with us too. Excellent storytelling that was hands down my favorite part of this volume!
There were a few awkward shenanigans that I wasn't a huge fan of, but I loved seeing more of Eri in this volume and how she has always been there for Kanade. Their friendship is beautiful and I feel this volume only further showed how true that is. <3
Overall, very very powerful volume and I'm starting to get a little sad in knowing I'm close to the end. I'm definitely not ready!
The guy in the front cover is Ezawa! I didn't recognize him at first. LOL
Marota gets a new friend during the summer fest: a little turtle! Well, as for Aro, the crowded summer fest is a nightmare. Touching so many people really drains his stamina, but he doesn't mind because on the bright side, he can spend some time with his beloved Kanade (oh, Namiki, Eri, and Ezawa are also there though).
In this volume, we get to know Aro's father, Goro, and Aro's Uncle, So. So is Kanae's (Aro's mother) brother and he has the same ability with Aro, the ability to see the past. So is angry at Goro because he got rid of every memento of Sanae. What So doesn't understand, Goro did that to pull Aro back to reality. After his mother dies, Aro couldn't stop touching her belongings "to bring her back." He got lost in the memory of the past and lost contact with his father. Goro was sad because he felt like he doesn't only lose his wife, but his son as well.
Meanwhile, Kanade finally tells the truth about her ability to Eri, her bestfriend. Though surprised, Eri handles the confession quite well. Somehow she feels like she already knows, because she's been keeping her eye on Kanade all of this time. She understands and stilll loves her bestfriend.
