Collected here are 7 short, slightly twisted fairy tales retold from a zombie perspective. What if Cinderella had been undead when she went to the ball? What if Little Red Riding Hood went to Grandma's house to eat her?

A NOTE ABOUT FRIENDING: I will happily friend you back if you friend me! Goodreads is, after all, about discussing books we both love. I will NEVER self-promote my books to you. And if you self-promote your books to me, no matter how nicely, I'm deleting you off my list. Sorry. Goodreads is about fun, not spam.
A NOTE ABOUT MY REVIEWS: Hey, look at that! Most of my reviews are really positive! This is not me kissing ass - It's because at heart, I am a lazy reader. If I'm not enjoying a book, I don't finish it. I don't review anything I didn't finish, ergo, most of the reviews I put up here are pretty much positive across the board because I finished them and was happy with the story. Makes sense, right?
Jak překrásně morbidní zakončení známých Disneyovek...
Fakt švanda. Líbilo se mi to. Zomboušská jednohubečka. :3
But two days ago, one of her evil step-sisters had hit her over the back of the head with a shovel and tossed her into the rubbish-pile and covered her with compost. - Zombie Cinderella
I don't have a problem with reading really short stories. Sometimes they can pack quite a punch. But this book is supposed to be fairy tales with zombies and...the author didn't do much with it. The zombies were all the same kind of zombie. It wasn't even trying to be very original zombies. They basically just moaned "brains" and were slow and dead. I probably wouldn't have even finished this if it hadn't been so short.
These are tiny and adorable - except for the mouldy bits! because this was a novella of novellas there's really not much to be said so I'll just be putting down what I thought at the end of each story.
Zombie Cinderella
This was the longest story. It had a little more of an introduction than the others. We're given more of a why about Cinder. I love that her untimely demise didn't stop her HEA!
Mouldy-locks and the Three Bears
Haha, this was fantastic! What a twist!
Sleeping Zom-Beauty
Goodness me, what a close one! She got the best out of that deal I feel. Any other option would have been unbearable And it's adorable that he knew she'd like his brains...
Beauty & The Zom-Beast
Aww no!! I didn't like this one! that's awful.
Little Red Rotting Hood
I wondered if this would have a mouldy Locks twist. I kind of wish this had gone the other way. Irony.
Rapunzombel
Bahaha this one was brilliant! and the shortest. Understandably...
The Princess and the Zomb-Pea
Some mother in laws rightly deserve the fear...this one was just an idiot.
This novella was thoroughly amusing and not really horrifying. Perhaps because I was nice and safe in my well lit room? Some felt like they were just rushed through, others were pretty clever. A nice little Halloweeny read right enough.
At only 76 pages this is a very fun and quick read.
There really isn't too much to say about such a little book. The writing is good. The stories are very quick and fun. I found myself laughing out loud a few times. None of the stories were amazing though. I think a lot of the stories could have been much better if there was a little more to them. They are fairy tales though so they are supposed to be short. It can get a bit gross at times for those who don't have a strong stomach.
I did like the book. Nothing great but it is enjoyable. My favorite was Zombie Cinderella, more because of the Fairy Godmother.
Short stories with a lot of icky and purely amusing - the fairy tales are well-known but what Jill Myles turns them into is just too cool. I enjoyed them very much, but then, stories like that don't bother me. If you have a delicate stomach or don't like very black humor, this is not the book for you. For everyone else: go get it!
This was a very quick fun read. Nice little twist on your fairy tale stories. Wish each story would have been just a tad longer though. Jill Myles humor is *laugh out loud*. I just love her work. My favorite story was Sleeping Zom-Beauty.
