Another will written paranormal fantasy world 🌎 haunting horror adventure thriller novel by J. R. Rain ☔ and Elizabeth Basque. The story line is fast moving as Jack Rome, Tess and the chief of police race to keep a Russian billionaire from destroying the Garden of Eden while saving Ricky Tess's son. Lots of action, misdirection, and violence leading to the unexpected conclusion. I would highly recommend this series and various authors to readers of paranormal fantasy mystery novels 👍🔰. 2023 😀😯👒
Jack Rome is surprised when a woman he rescued from slavers as a child comes back into his life asking for his help again. Only this time, there is so much more at stake. Her child has been taken and a powerful dying man is determined to find the lost Garden of Eden and the tree of life. Now Jack must help her and the stakes are high.
This book is action packed and incredibly fast paced. I enjoyed the ride!
What a ball! I was sucked into the story from the first page and I was willingly held there until the last page was read! Adventure galore, fantastic treasure, evil villains, and a good guy to end all good guys! Oh yeah, and a beautiful heroine to boot!
This was a quick read which is a plus. However, it felt like it was written by a teenage boy attempting to insert every adventure scenario he'd ever seen in the movies. I only finished it because I have a quota I'd like to meet and I could tell it wasn't a long story. I believe it was touted as being "like James Rollins adventures" but, as a Rollins fan, I strongly disagree.
'Lost Eden' was intriguing and quite descriptive. The storyline was full of action, creativity and a past that came full circle for Jack and Tess. This quick read was another great a ample of J.R. Rain's talent for bringing a story to life. A good add to your tbr list.
Lost Eden: An Adventure Novel by J.R. Rain with Elizabeth Basque
Wish I could say I loved this book -- but I didn't. I feel much the same about it, as I did about the Private London book I read. Both were supposedly co-written by authors whose work I like -- Rain for this book and Patterson for the Private London novel -- but neither displayed any of the flair and finesse I associate with the more famous author. I don't know why this is. Frankly, I don't care. I've read other co-authored books (notably those by Konrath) that carried the same excitement of the author's singly written work, so I know it's a possible outcome. But, after about 5 or 6 chapters of this book, I found the plotting adequate, but the actual writing boring, the action disconnected, and just the total effect downright ho-hum. Maybe if the beginning had been a bit more cohesive or the writing more sophisticated. Something. I mean, when you can't get invested in a life and death battle or a supposedly frightening kidnapping, it's time to move on to another book. So I am.
Honestly, I didn't want to read this book. I'm not a big fan of "adventure" books OR of anything biblical. But I really love J.R. Rain. Leave it to him & his amazing talent to get me to love a biblical action book!!!
The story moved fast and was very interesting & intelligent. I loved the characters & humor. There were truly greedy, evil bad guys & great, likable good guys. I was hooked quickly & this book held my attention until the end. It was edge-of-my seat exciting.
Although I found certain things in this book pretty unbelievable, I didn't really care. I was able to use my imaginations and suspend my disbelief. I just went along for the fun ride.
I highly recommend this fun & suspenseful book. It's really a great ride! A fun, easy & quick read. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this book. I will say that when I first started reading Lost Eden, I wasn't sure that I would like it, a story about the lost garden of Eden sounded a bit corny... but as always, J.R. Rain doesn't disappoint! I always find myself wrapped up in these stories. J.R. Rain writes about so many different things, and does it really, really well! Can't wait for whatever is next!
This was my first J.R. Rain book. Not sure if all of his books are this short or not. I enjoyed Lost Eden and will probably try another from this author at some point. While the story was entertaining, it lacked depth in character development and plot. Still very entertaining if you are looking for a quick read.
Screenplay reading, first adventure into that. A fanciful story of biblical intensity, where good wages war against the proverbial evil, I was front and center in the jeep, hooked and along for the ride. Next pls, too much fun
Interesting story. It's a toss between Lara Craft and Indiana Jones with a lot of action. This book is actually a screenplay versus a book so it reads a little different. Not what I was expecting from J.R. Rain after reading his Samantha Moon Series but a good read none the less.
This story was fun, but way too short. I felt the heros needed more adversity. I was disappointed that although about the Garden of Eden, the story did not include enough of an immaculate presence in the final battle.
Well four stars seemed right, good action, characters, not so sure I buy the premise on the garden of Eden and perceiving there and I guess that is what sci-fi action is all about. Give it a try it took great thinking.
One of the best adventure/archeology novels I have read. Forget that Jones fellow, this is what you're questing for. Outstanding writing and pacing, good characters.
reading a screan play is interesting and it is really good. I did not realize it was a screen play when I first got it to read. but i am enjoying it. loved it
As usual, J. R. Rain never disappoints. This was a very fast-moving story in screenplay format which seemed to move even faster than book format. Very exciting. I rate this one 4.5 stars.
This was an action packed, thrill ride. I could not put this book down. It was that good. The whole concept of the Garden of Eden was interesting. Great story!
