A wife. Happily ever after. That was never in the cards for me, not with a past like mine.
Everything changed when Millie entered my life. The no labels I demanded on our heated encounters became meaningless when she threatened to walk away. There’s only one thing a man can do when he realizes the woman he loves is going to leave forever.
I have to fix not only myself, but our relationship. I’m not willing to let go of Millie, even if promising her forever means I’m playing with fire.
Welcome to the Billionaire Playboys, I know, I know. You're thinking "playboys" no thanks, that’s not for me. That’s okay because that’s not what this series it’s about. It’s about Four Brothers, Parker, Ezra, Boston, and Theo. These Alphas work hard and play harder. Especially when it comes to making their woman fall in love with them. In each story in this series you'll get an Alpha Hero, an independent heroine, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Tory Baker is a mom of two teenagers and a dog mom to one wild and active Weimaraner, Remi. She lives in a small coastal town on the east coast of sunny Florida. Oftentimes you’ll find her outside soaking up the rays with at least three drinks surrounding her, a wandering imagination, and a notebook in hand where she’s jotting down a plot for her next story. She’s a lover of writing happily ever afters with Alpha heroes and sassy heroines.
Safe. No ow/om drama. Nothing is mentioned about either of their pasts. Neither are virgins. No real drama between the couple. They have an argument near the beginning that shakes the H and has him re-evaluating his life. He doesn’t want to lose the h so he begins to make big changes in his life. h is very independent and wants to start her business on her own. Big mystery dealing with the owners of the cafe where she works at and wants to buy. No abuse and no cheating.
This book was absolutely fantastic and Tory did such a fantastic job with connecting the characters emotions to the readers. I was excited for millie and Ezra book after reading Parker and Vanessa story since Ezra seems more in depth with himself that we could get his story and see why.ezra and millie have such a different perspective on relationships in the beginning and now we fully understand them. Great story!.

Ezra was adopted by, Krista Hudson, and his brother is his best friend, Parker. That was a double-sword growing up at times. Unfortunately, they had fathers who talked with their fists until the day they were big enough to talk back and, Kristy was brave enough to call the police. So, the bonds run deep between the three of them. But, don’t let, Ezra fool you, he’s a lot like, Krista in that he is very social and loves to be out and about. But, the two love to gossip at, Parker’s expense.
Now, however, the shoe is on the other foot. It seems, Ezra has a girlfriend, Ezra has a girlfriend, LOL, or at least that is what, Parker wants to spill the beans about him to his mom like, Ezra did about him and, Nessa. It's just when he starts to do the simplest amount of teasing, Ezra is at odds with himself. You see everyone thought for sure, that Parker would be the one never to get involved again because of his first real experience that turned to ruins. Yet, the minute he saw Nessa he knew, she was his one. Ezra didn't know any such thing.
He knew he liked being around her. He, in essence, wanted to be with her, and, in her daily. But, he made it known they weren't giving what was going on with them, a title. They weren't leaving clothes at each other's homes, or anything like that, not even a spare toothbrush. So, his being butt hurt, when she did talk to him about, her business plan, or going for a bank loan, pissed her off. Especially, since it was on the morning he was once again, awoken at the crackass of dawn, and cranky. Enough to say his peace than hold up in his office. That was the last straw for, Millie. She made sure to gather her things and leave not saying a word.
Ezra was so conflicted. He could hear the personal elevator chime when it arrived at the penthouse. He knew his, Minnie was leaving. He wanted to go and talk to, Minnie. And apologize, for being so lame. However, the emergency call came in from the hospital, about his mother being in, the ER getting stitches. It was at that moment, that he knew how stupid he had been to not see, what had been right in front of him. But, he had been too afraid of his past, coming to haunt him to be brave enough, to try and overcome it to love, Minnie. He vowed to do just that, no matter what he would let, Minnie know.
It was fun to see the transformation that Ezra goes through. It's heartbreaking to watch what Minnie has to go through to get her own business. I didn't understand exactly what, Boston's plan was to feed to the media.
i think the books in this series are all safe. although the series name includes "playboy" there's no background or any mention of their history as "playboys" in the each book (so far). no major drama and definitely slim to no angst at all, basically just a chill book. if the reader wants to pass time. these books are less than 250+ pages, so this will be short read.
in this second book ezra (40) and millie (32) have already a friends with benefits situation for 4 months. it wasn't told how they met and ended up in that situationship. he was a billonaire and she was working in a coffee shop she was planning to buy too.
the issue in the blurb didn't really cause so much drama. they had a fight over the fact the millie didn't ask ezra for his help about her plans purchasing the coffee shop and which he took offense. ezra was hell bent on not giving any labels to what they have so millie thought he doesn't need to know her business plans. she was an independent and prideful woman who can do things on her own.
so when they didn't talk for i think 2 days, ezra panicked and started to realize he can't lose her. he then decides to do some changes on his part but firstly to make sure to put a label on them.
that's where the story revolves, ezra getting his head out of his ass and finding out why the original owners of the coffee shop went MIA. like i said it was safe, way too safe that at times my thoughts were drifting while reading.
We got a taste of Ezra & Millie in the first book in the series. Ezra is Parker's brother and Millie is Nessa's best friend. Much like Parker, Ezra didn't have the best upbringing until he was adopted by their mom Krista. He carries demons from his past into his adult life and into his "situationship" with Millie. Millie is fiercely independent, working her way to owning the coffee shop she manages and doing fashion consulting on the side. What starts out as aa few nights turns into so much more for them.
Millie catches feeling and when they aren't reciprocated the way she hoped she walks walks away. This is a do or die moment for Ezra. He realizes how deep his feelings go for her but he also realizes he needs to work on his fears. His mom Krista helps him work through his fears and see he is nothing like his birth parents and he is worthy of love. I loved how supportive Ezra was of Millie and how even though he had trouble admitting his feelings, he knew everything about her. From her favorite wine, her take out order and how to get her to relax. I loved when he called her Millicent instead of Millie.
This was such a good story, especially with the backstory of the coffee shop owners. I loved watching their relationship evolve and the growth of Ezra over the course of the book. I can't wait for Boston and Theo to find their women!!!!
This is the 2nd book in the Billionaire Playboys series featuring Ezra and Millie's sweet and steamy complicated romance. We got a tease of Ezra and Millie in the first book and boy did they deliver it was everything that we could have wanted and more. Ezra is Parker's brother and just like Parker he didn't have the greatest upbringing until he was adopted by Krista their mom. Ezra brings the emotional baggage and scars from his childhood into his fling with Millie. Millie is Nessa's best friend she's seriously independent and she's working hard towards making her dream of owning the coffee shop that she works at happen. She's in love with Ezra but she doesn't like that she can't even have a toothbrush at his place and that they can't label it a relationship since Ezra doesn't do labels. When Millie realizes that nothing is going to change she decides it's time to walk away from Ezra. Ezra realizes after she's gone that he's made a big mistake that he's in love with Millie and he needs to get her back. Will Ezra be able to prove to Millie that he's changed and that he wants a future with her? You need to read this sweet and steamy romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series.

Part of the Billionaire Playboys each book can be read as a standalone just read the tile again to get a general idea of what you getting into so hang on because once you start you won’t put the book down until the last page has been turned. Ezra sexy as all get out billionaire is Parker’s brother , didn’t have a great upbringing but eventually adopted, taught love but that doesn’t stop him from having issues in his adult life and learning to deal with them being in relationship especially with it comes to his girl. Millie is sweet, spicy, sassy, working hard to own her own coffee shop and has a side hustle of fashion consulting something she didn’t see coming. The attraction between these two you can feel it coming off the pages, intense, and the magnetic pull is too strong for either of them to ignore but when Ezra don’t acknowledge or show her he feels the same way hurts her and he will do what he needs to like working on the fears to be the man she needs realizes he is worthy off love not his parents but supporting his girl was his first step, he shows her his love everyday although, he can’t say he love , can they heal one another, can they find happiness, acceptance, and peace?.

Book #2 of this series. We met Ezra and Millie in book #1. Millie is fiercely independent and wants to stand on her on two feet. Having said that, she’d like to know what the status is of her’s and Ezra’s relationship. Ezra and his brother Parker and their two best friends have made their millions together. Ezra didn’t have the best start in life and it wasn’t until Parker’s mom let him live with them did he know anything about family. When Millie gives Ezra an ultimatum he finally realizes how deep his feelings for Millie go and is willing to work on his fears to prove to her he’s there to stay. I love these two together. Their connection and chemistry is off the charts. Ezra can be a bit of a caveman but he respects Millie’s desire to start her business on her own without his help. Millie is sweet and wears her heart on her sleeve. She knows of Ezra’s fears because of his upbringing but is swept away when he shows her how much she means to him by surprising her with all her favourite things. Can’t wait to see which brother falls next. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
First off - put a coffee shop in any story and there's an immediate extra star! Ha - not really but coffee shops make such a great setting for scenes of characters getting to know each other and for secondary characters to be introduced and drawn more clearly. In this book, we pick up Millie and Ezra's story (mentioned in Book 1 of the Billionaire Playboys series). She's managing a coffee shop that she hopes to one day own, and is in a "Friends with Benefits" situation with the utterly charming Ezra. Like many romance tropes, one of them develops feelings that go beyond FWB, and the pair split. But splitting causes other hurt to surface and the story becomes a gorgeous tale of accepting past fears and having the courage to fight for what you want as a grown up. Utterly addictive series - so beware. You will get suckered in!.

Millie and Ezra are hot! They have scorching chemistry. Ezra is sexy, tall, muscular and so handsome. Ezra is not a long term type guy. He doesn’t want love. He doesn’t want marriage. He doesn’t want kids. He thinks because he had a terrible childhood with bad parents, he would be the same. He doesn’t want anything serious. But there is something about Millie. She is so sweet, angelic but also so smoking hot, so sexy and stunning. They have such passion, so sexy hot and so alive. Ezra doesn’t know what is happening to him. He wants to be with Millie all the time. He has got to figure this out. Is it love? Is there a chance for him to find love? Is he going to lose Millie because he can’t decide? It’s filled with love and tenderness and so much caring. It is an emotional roller coaster ride with sweet, sweet love as your reward. Really a great enjoyable read filled with romance and love. I loved it!

When Parker and Nessa got together, Parker's brother Ezra and Nessa's best friend, Millie, met too. This story takes place a while after the two started sharing passionate nights together. Ezra is uncomfortable with any feelings towards a woman except passion. He tries to keep out of any relationship besides the ones with his friends and brothers and their adopted mom. He really enjoys being with Millie but doesn't want any strings. Even when they sleepover at each other's places, they don't leave anything behind. At first, Millie enjoyed the passionate nights but now she is getting tired of being kept at arms length by Ezra. Her work is getting demanding and she and ezra fight over his trying to help her. Millie finally decides she has had enough and walks away. Will Ezra decide that he can trust Millie too?.

Good grief! This story had it all! Sweetness, steam, drama, angst, mystery… it had a lot more going on than I expected from the story, that’s for sure!
This book continues from the bits of story we got about Milly (the h) & Ezra (the H). Ezra had deep feels about Millie, but didn’t realize it until she was walking away from him.
There also was a bit of a murder mystery going on (the part I TOTALLY didn’t expect) causing concerns and a major challenge to Millie being able to realize her dream.
I really adored Millie and Ezra grew on me. The story & characters were well-written and I can’t wait to read the next one!.

LOVED MILLIE AND EZRA. What I loved about this story is the drama wasn't with Ezra and Millie. Instead, the twist in the story lay in some intrigue woven throughout. Once Ezra realizes he's on board with a serious relationship with Millie, he shifts gears so she's more a part of his day-to-day life. It doesn't take a serious accident or some crazy epiphany. It's a self examination of himself and how his values are changing because of her.
What I also enjoyed is the way Tory Baker uses her words to paint such vivid pictures of Books and Brew, the coffee shop that Millie manages. It's only one example about how she immerses you into the story. And the characters around Ezra and Millie makes the story richer without taking the focus away from the main couple.

I loved Playing With Fire: A Billionaire Reluctant Hero Romance Book 2 of Billionaire Playboys. Millie and Ezra are not in a relationship. They just stay at each others places and have lots of hot sex. Ezra doesn’t do feelings and doesn’t want a wife or kids. Millie thought she could keep it casual but now she realizes she can’t and it’s time to break away from Ezra and he makes it easy when he pushes her away. But now Ezra realizes his mistake and he loves Millie. Can he show her he can change and wants a future with her? A sweet story and I love the characters. Parker and Nessa carry over from book 1. I would definitely recommend this book and the series. Can’t wait for the next brother to fall.

I was sold on this simply based on the coffeeshop with a bookstore in it! My dream. SOLD.
I think Tory's books appeal to me so much because she hits my sweet spot for length, not too long and not too short, she gives us relatable characters, situations, and relationships...even if one or both parties is a billionaire, their wealth isn't a focal point.
She also keeps the typical 3rd act breakup or drama to a minimum, she makes the issues within the story something that arcs through or resolves earlier on.
Basically what I'm trying to say is this: this book is great, it hits all my personal reader happy spots, and I'm glad I can head into Tory's books knowing she's going to leave me a happy reader.
Millie and Ezra were such a beautifully flawed couple, and I loved how they made our hearts hurt for them and then gave us such a happy ending. We knew from book one in the series that these two had a more friends with benefits situation, but I feel like they moved on from that pretty quickly in this story. I really enjoyed that we got so much of Millie, and how much of a boss she was with her coffee/book shop. She was an amazing character, she handled business, and she made Ezra realize she was not a woman you didn’t make your forever. These two were a great match for each other, and I could have read so much more of their characters because I enjoyed them so much. I’m literally so excited for the next book in this billionaire friend group.
This is a great book which can be read as a standalone. However, it is much more enjoyable as the best friends (also a couple) appear throughout this book. This book builds on the story of the previous book and showcases many of those characters.
Millie and Ezra carry a bit of baggage but are deeply in love even though it takes them a while to realize it. There is a wonderful underlying lesson about how we should not be hyper critical about ourselves as it could cause us to miss out on the most important thing in our lives. Everyone deserves love, support, and a chance to prove themselves!

So this is book 2 of a (hopefully) 4 book series - well there are 4 billionaire ‘brothers’ so I’m optimistic. Ezra and Millie are already in a relationship at the start of this one although Ezra has serious issues and won’t call it a relationship. Their dynamic is hot and she really loves him but he needs to deal with his past to move forward. Add into the mix some intrigue surrounding Millie’s plans to buy her own coffee shop, a catch up with Nessa and Parker from the first book and this all makes another fabulous read from this brilliant author. I cannot wait for brother number 3 s story.

A fantastic story! We got a little glimpse of Ezra and Millie in the first book and now we find out the whole story. Ezra and Millie are in an undefined relationship because Ezra has baggage from the past. He quickly decides he needs to work on that when he almost loses Millie. It’s nice to see how quick he realizes what he really wants and what he needs to do! Millie is just awesome and such a great person! These two were just adorable together and so hot! Some suspense and drama that keeps you intrigued! An absolute wonderful read as always! Highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
Ezra has a dark past, which makes him not want a serious relationship, but for months he has been in a relationship with only one woman, Millie. They don't label the relationship and never leave things at each other's houses. But Millie's life has a thousand things going on and she, even without wanting to, wants more from Ezra and so during a fight, she leaves his house. That was enough for Ezra to understand that she was the one. Ezra is wonderful, always supporting Millie and opening up more to the relationship daily. It's beautiful to see their relationship mature. I definitely recommend reading it.

Millie and Ezra's story starts out in a friends with benefits situation. Millie didn't mean to fall for him, she was fine with it being casual. He has so much baggage, she figured he would never get over them. He made his boundaries clear and she manages within them. When he gets smacked in the face with what his issues are doing to her, what they are depriving him of, he knows he has to make a change. I loved Millie's drive and independence. Ezra, fortunately recognizes what he has in Millie and starts to get his act together. The comfort level this couple has with each other makes this story. I loved every minute I spent with them!
Ezra is a billionaire playboy who realizes just in time how much he loves Millie. If you read book one then you already know Ezra and Millie and I definitely recommend you start this series with book one Playing Dirty. You won't be disappointed plus you'll get to know Parker and Nessa. In this book we get Ezra and Millie's journey from friends with benefits to a happily ever after forever love. The writing is well done, the characters are believable, and the story is filled with steam, drama, friendship, love, and a great ending. The cherry on top is the double epilogues. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is the second book in the Billionaire Playboys series and I loved it. This is such a well written love story, great storyline, lots of steam and throw in some intrigue and missing persons and it is just a great read. Ezra and Millie are the best couple ever. Ezra especially, learning to let go of his past and looking to a happy future. Ezra and Millie are hot and steamy together and have great chemistry. Loved this wonderful story about these two playing with fire cause they are on fire!!

Ezra and Millie have been friends with benefits. It’s only after her heart gets involved that he’s forced to face the reality of possibly losing her. It doesn’t take him long to realize that’s never going to happen. He’ll do whatever necessary to make her happy and make her life easier. I love the dynamics between the MCs. She’s fiercely independent but finally realizes it’s ok to ask for help. The unanticipated drama was pleasing to tte story too. A great read!.

This is the second in the Four Brothers series and as good as the first. This one is about Millie and Ezra and is very steamy.
Millie is a sweet, extremely hard working young woman in the process of trying to set up her own coffee shop business. Ezra, because of his childhood, has reservations about committing to a relationship and having children.
Tory's creates fantastic stories with depth, charm and plenty of heat.

Ezra never had any intention of tying himself to anyone for the rest of his life. But when he met Millie, there was something about her that wormed her way into his heart. His no labels terms on what they had, threatened to have her walk away. It is time for him to decide if he wants to stick with that or keep Millie. It is really a no brainer for him.
These to light up the page too much for it just to be a hook up.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. I liked the characters and there was plenty of steam between them. I felt that I missed information that I couldn't remember from the first book. Not a lot of explanation on how Ezra and Millie got together or why Ezra had the hang ups that he did. And the drama was really low key. It was paced like a slow-burn romance but that's not what I was expecting. An easy book to sink into and enjoy but it just missed a spark for me.

Absolutely loved the fantastic connection with Ezra and Millie. He might think he’s closed off, but once Ezra makes up his mind he is all in, not willing to risk losing the woman who has changed him and brings him the peace he feels when she is near. Think it’s great how these brothers tease each other and know exactly what buttons to push and how they adore their mom. Very shocked with the surprising twist at the end, but liked how they all rallied to help one of their own, when the time called for action.

I thought this was a steamy hot read. We finally get to find out what is happening with Ezra and Millie. These two had such a great chemistry, and I like that it was realistic in that they did have disagreements that they needed to work out. And I adore that we got to catch glimpses of Ness and Patrick. This was a standalone romance within the series, and I cannot wait to read the next one.
I received a free advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Ezra and Millie's story is one of acceptance, friendship, doubts, fears, determination, passion and love. I was interested in seeing where Tory went with their story after Playing Dirty. I really liked how these two find their way from a mutually beneficial arrangement to a happy future together. It wasn't always easy, sometimes conflicted, but they make it. Ezra struggles and has to let go of some baggage. Millie feels the need to protect her own heart, even from him. It was a good story and I liked the characters
