Newlyweds Aisha and Percy Howard, Lady and Lord Ross have left London to take up a quiet and uneventful residence in their country home now that Percy has retired from the spy business. However, murder and mayhem aren’t done with the pair. When a mysterious man is found dead near Howard Manor, Percy must contend with a bored Aisha while attempting to solve a murder case and stop a nefarious scheme by siblings Iago and Desdemona Brabanzio to bring Othello Blackwood to the altar. More importantly, will Aisha accept the simple life of a country wife?
Content I endeavor to avoid the racist, sexist, and homophobic language that pervaded the period as much as possible. This book references BDSM, murder, and racism. Please exercise care when reading these books.
It's a fun read and you're reading for the vibes, not the mystery. You can probably solve this almost immediately. It's almost like if Fitz and Olivia were sent in the past and could actually be together. This is low angst, low drama and a really fun and short read.
