Kortlynn Hebert has learned how to be positive in every situation. Growing up in a single-parent home, her mother taught her how to love herself and to have self-respect. This book was really good. There are so many components that I really enjoyed about it especially the fact that the main character was plus sized and didn’t go on this journey of learning to love herself. The reader meets her as a confident individual and I loved that. The characters were also hilarious. I literally laughed out loud while reading this book. I’m definitely glad that this is the first book of the year and I can’t wait to check out more black contemporary romance authors.

Just Blew My Mind Then
Chiiiiile I hollered all through this book! THESE CHARACTERS WERE AWESOME! I hadn't laughed like this with a book in a minute. I loved everything moment of it! Talk about Country Swaggin, this is it right here. On top of that Monica brought back Legend and Red! I almost had a dang heart attack. God has been REAL GOOD to me, I tell ya! 😂 Real, Real Good to me! Praise Him! Get the book and read for yourself people! God's got a blessing witcho name on it Monica.

Great main characters as Zayson proved how much he cared for Kortland. Storyline touched on realistic issues and I was glad Kortland's mom, Mary finally told her the truth. Enjoyable read

Mmmmmhmmmmm, MONICAAAAAA!!! This da one right here! The perfect love story! I loved Zayson and Kortlynn’s love story, it has easily become one of my favorites! It was so perfect, the build up was perfect & the ending was just PERFECT 👌🏾🤌🏾! J’Neka was something else & got what she deserved!! To learn what happened to Kortlynn’s mom explained her actions! As well, the outcome with Zayson’s brother was disheartening. I loved all of the characters (especially Zayson’s mom) & how other series tied into this book. Another standing O 👏🏾 to my fav!!!

This right here is the epitome of "I know what I want and ain't got time for games". Zayson and Kortlynn instaloved it at first sight. Even though she was a little more hesitant, both jumped in feet first and was honest and most importantly communicated what they wanted and expectant from themselves and each other. The issues they both were dealing with were heavy and could put undo stress on a fresh relationship but again...two adult communicated with each other and they made it through just fine. The only take away was the over use of the n-word which stood out of because even though it was about urbane people it just didn't fit in this particular story to me. Even with that, it is a great story and my first but not last read by this author

Monica you did it again!!! The love between Zay and Kortlynn was soo strong I felt it every time while reading. Damn those sex scenes was hot and had me wanting to take my boo down lol. I knew it was a reason as to why her mom was treating her like that. Her dad was a very stand up person for looking out for her all those years when he didn’t have to. Her cousin ain’t shit because just because somebody offered you money don’t mean anything. I felt so bad for Zay and his parents after everything his brother did to them he didn’t deserve that. Monica your books always takes me on a high I don’t want to come down from. Don’t keep us waiting for another book.

Zayson & Kort
I freaking love the setting of country hood. These boys got me wanted to find a rodeo. I’m familiar with horse racing but my imagination got me in the stands watching the show too. I loved their courtship. It didn’t pop off like the other two couples but when it did they didn’t stop. Its such a shame how we as a community think it’s ok to sweep issues under the rug and they will go away. How do you look at your baby and have to constantly think how she got here? I do it for mine and they were planned. I felt sorry for her mom. She handled that well. And zayson was right there. Now KERRY!!!! That was a typical Cain and Abel situation. When is enough enough? He was really gone do his lil bro like that. He made his bed though. So now we need a fun update on all the babies and wedding.

The way they took to each other was EVERYTHING!
I loved that Kort didn't take ish from nobody! She was confident in who she was and didn't give a flip who didn't like it. SHE WAS A BOSS! Then add in Zay and Kort FLOURISHED!
Zay was soooo country and hood AND I loved his character because he always kept it real with Kort. He loved her from the beginning and wasn't scared to show or admit it.

Zay and Kourtlynn are the epitome of what a man and woman should be for each other
I loved that this story featured a fluffy woman and man (though he was more muscle and height than anything else). The way Zay proved to be real and true to Kortlynn even after her cousin tried to ruin it had me swooning for him. I loved Kortlynn was so confident and in love with who she was. Plus she gave back to the young women as well. Her momma was foul but her truth helped me not dislike her completely. I loved getting an update on my favorite rodeo couples Legend, Harper, Red, and Shana!! And those sex scenes were steamy and passionate just like their love for one another!! This was a great story!!

So good to see characters from your other books in this story. I loved Zay and Kortlynn from the beginning. Their vibe and spirits seemed to connect, upon that first phone call. Their love grew quickly, but felt pure and genuine. The dynamic with Kortlynn's parents was a whole mess, but Calvin was a great guy for stepping up like he did. Mary, wanted to beat her! Although she had issues, her daughter didn't deserve what she was dishing out. Zay's parents were loyal to a fault. Taking care of a good and grown man like that, and to be disrespected by him was foul! Hated that his family had to go through that tragedy. Another great read Miss Monica. Loved it!

This was a wonderfully written romance. I am a sucker for black love stories that have no trauma bonding, drugs, toxicity, cheating or manipulation. This was my first Monica Walters book and it definitely will not be my last.
Kortlynn Hebert meets Zayson Adroin by chance and their destinies were set. I appreciated the fact that they were attracted to each other and wanted to see where the attraction went. I loved this story so much and Kortlynn was a big woman and she found a man who loved on her and he even corrected her when she said negative things about herself. Zayson not only expressed his love through words but his actions spoke volumes. They had some serious obstacles placed in their way by conniving family members but they persevered. Ms. Walters knows she can write some STEAMY sex scenes. WHEW CHILE.

What can you not do . This story drew me in with the first page I knew right then I would not be able to put it down and I was right where can I find me a cowboy like Zayson. Zayson was everything Kortlynn needed and more he was loving, compassionate, understanding, great lover and all around great person. Day in and day out he made sure that Kortlynn knew she was it for him. Zayson brother Kerry how disrespectful and jealous was he. Kortlynn mom and cousin a hot mess they were. Better than I thought
This author is new for me so I downloaded a sample first. Initially I wasn't impressed but as I continued to read I fell in love. I loved her hood/country use of language and phrases. Zayson played NO games in regards to Kortlynn and she NO games when it came to him. They fell for each and recognized it immediately. Their romance grew from that point without all the usual angst. Good job Ms. Walters. I am so glad I took a chance on your book. I'm going back to the Kindle store to look for others.

This is my first time reading a book by Ms Monica and babyyyyyyy!!This book was everything that country love is everything!! Kortlynn and zayson was amazing their attraction was amazing she was standoffish but zay put it down and let it know what’s up!!! Her mom was something else smh.. her dad I loved him!! Zay parents remind me of my parents they crazy lol !!! His brother smh was something else!! Overall it was an amazing story and I’m looking forward to reading more books by her!!

Sooooo Good
This book was very good. Zayson and Kortlynne were so good for each other. Girl these sex scenes were the bomb. I love how they just lovers on each other. Her mother was wrong for treating her that way. After hearing the story I kind of understand why her mother treated her that way even though it was wrong. I felt bad for Zayson family after what happened to his brother Kerry. This was a very good book. Monica can't wait for your next book.

Omg Omg, I laugh my ass off throughout this whole book. Mrs. Barbara was a old G, she didn't play no game and funny ass hell. I was mad as hell with Korylynn mom and nasty ass cousin. But I happy she told her what happened and they work though it. Kerry was just a big fuck-up. He just need help and I hate he died like that. These two was humping like rabbits every chance they got!!! This book was outstanding!! Thanks Monica Walters for making my weekend!!!

Great Story!
I loved Kortlynn and Zay!!! Their chemistry was immediate and their passion for each other was *fans self* scorching off the page! They were clearly who each other needed to get through major family drama. His brother and her mama, whew chile, a hot mess! Both of them!!! Glad they each had other supportive family and close friends to get them through. Also, I really enjoyed the rodeo scenes. Makes me wish I could go see one myself! Great job, Ms. Walters!

Zay and Kortlynn are my new favorite couples. They were attracted to each other before they met. When they did meet, they didnt want to leave each other. Kortlynn had a hard time believing that Zay wanted to be with her, but he continued to show her she was what he wanted. They did experience some obstacles in their relationship, but they worked through them. This was a great love story and I'm glad they got their HEA!!!!

What I loved about Zay was that he loved Kort regardless of how big she was and was determined to never leave her side. They were down to ride for each other until they couldn't anymore. Great story.

Not quite a love at first sight, but definitely strong attraction and interest. As a BBW in a new relationship, Kortlynn owned her confidence and her ability to keep Zayson's interest. As a couple that "others" felt wouldn't mesh and last, they proved their eventual love for each other in thought & action. The author addressed realistic health concerns and showed that with determination and support, it could be managed.

This writer never ceases to amaze me. From the first chapter you’re hooked. It was so easy to fall in love with the main characters. The way Zayson cherished his lady from their first encounter was so refreshing. This book tugged on my heart strings. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

This story was so amazing. The love connection that Kortlynn and Zayson had was so strong and the fact that they let no one come inbetween what they were trying to build was even better. The sexual chemistry they had was out of this world I mean you can actually feel it radiating off the pages as I read.

Ms. Walters never disappoints Zayson is definitely book bae material and Kort was my dream crush. She was amazing, strong, beautiful, and confident. Everything you would want to be as woman and what you hope your daughters grow to be. And yes this is definitely a panty alert warning just be prepared 🤦🏾♀️🔥💦. This book was everything!
