Life teaches us lessons every day. The question is, are we aware of these teachings?
- Have you come across days where you got help from a stranger? - A new idea popped into your mind from nowhere? - A random stranger on the street made you realize something profound?
Well, it may be small, but so was it for Isaac Newton when the apple fell on his head. The legends have operated life from the point of awareness. This book is a collection of life lessons I got from random places; from India to Germany, life has never surprised me with daily lessons.
But the real question is, why should you read this? How will my insights help you? I am also a human being living amongst you on this planet Earth. These 50 lessons have the capacity to change your life forever.
What will you gain?
You will become an active student of life; Your life may radically change from the perspective of a person who gets affected by the surroundings to the person who influences the surroundings by your presence.
Don't you wish to become that special one? I invite you to this book, "50 Things to realize before it's too late."
A lot of spelling mistakes and punctuation errors just put me off that I could not focus on the good points written (which are only about 50 points overall - exported my highlights from kindle to refer in the future).
Nothing new written. As a quote in the book, "Everything that needs to be said has already been said. But since no one was listening, everything must be said again." by Andre Gide made me realize that all the non-fic authors are living off this quote.
This book plays by the quote too. Everything the author says are reel content (written in the same language too) but you can pick it up when you need a reminder or a temporary push towards reality check.
I couldn’t put this book down. I loved the format. I loved the short stories. I loved every page. I would recommend this book to anyone that needs help almost in any part of their own life.
A great read. It really is a combination of so many parts of life lessons and reminders in a very simple and bite sized way for anyone to consume, extremely accessible! Could work with formatting it and editing it better due to some errors (but honestly, why get bogged down by that)- personally this reminded me I’m on the right track! Thank you!
The book was a quick read .I did read it on kindle unlimited . Every other page it referenced death . Each time it would say "so you know we are going to die it's inevitable ". I mean not to be blunt but the book might have been more enjoyable if there wasn't a broken record of death .
Read this because it was free on kindle unlimited. I wasn’t expecting anything life changing, but I thought there would at least be a couple of new / useful ideas.
There were a couple of reasonable ideas, but nothing was explored or fleshed out properly and there was certainly nothing new. I have no clue why it’s called 50 things to realise before it’s too late. It reads more like a poorly planned semi self help book full of cliches. I don’t think that encouraging people to surround themselves only with people who blindly support and encourage them in everything they do is very helpful. It’s important that people both support and also have the ability to have open conversations about whether certain decisions are right - especially if you’re thinking about starting a business (which was used as an example multiple times). There was zero objective reasoning in this book, which is really crucial in any type of self help / advice book. I wouldn’t like it if my friends all blindly supported everything I do or say.
Some of the examples used to explain concepts were totally bonkers too. It’s totally ridiculous to take something like the COVID pandemic and try to spin it into an absurd self help opportunity. In reference to the pandemic the author seriously suggested that “the next time you find yourself in a less-than ideal situation, pause and ask yourself is this truly a problem or can I find joy or opportunity here”. There’s nothing wrong with trying to find good opportunities in bad situations but this was such a bizarre and out of touch example.
There were also a huge amount of punctuation and grammatical errors which is off putting - particularly in a self help book…

The author has shared whatever he learned and remembered with us in this book. The author has rightly said that many of us are such people who only keep pondering about our future and forget to think about the present. When we stop expecting from people and stop impressing them, then we get good results because then we do not have stress and tension about anything. The author has rightly said that we should always show people what we are, not what people want to see. Increase the voices in your life that propel you forward and reduce the voices that push you backward.
In this book, the author has told 50 such priceless things which we should comprehend and know before it's too late. Many such significant topics of life have been circumscribed in this book, due to which we are troubled in life and cannot find their solution. The language of the book is also relatively lenient and can be skillfully discerned and this book can help you with many problems in your life.
This book helps us to show the right aisle in life.
"50 Things to Realize Before It's Too Late" by Manoj Chenthamarakshan is a gem for anyone looking for practical life wisdom without the fluff. I loved how incredibly easy it is to read this book. Each of the 50 ideas is presented as a short, digestible concept—perfect for busy people who want meaningful insights without committing to lengthy chapters. You can pick it up, read a concept or two, and immediately have something valuable to reflect on. One idea that really jumped out at me was SW, SW, SW, SW (Some Will, Some Won't, So What, Someone's Waiting). This simple framework is such a powerful reminder not to get discouraged by rejection and to keep moving forward. It's the kind of wisdom that sticks with you long after you've closed the book. Throughout the pages, there's a recurring and much-needed message: stop wasting time on social media. In our hyper-connected world, this reminder feels more relevant than ever. The author doesn't preach—he simply helps you realize how much of your precious time is slipping away. If you're looking for a book that respects your time while delivering real value, this is it. Highly recommend!
In the journey of life, the problems are not people, places, and situations but rather the thoughts of them which is considered to be the greatest gift if taken towards right direction. Once we start using it for our benefit (instead of worrying) Life becomes manageable is the core learning of the book. Ignorance vs Awareness of human gift – Author’s personal experiences, research & learnings has been summarized in few pages making the read more engaging & fruitful. Living in present, being yourself, accepting change, prioritizing health & self-love, positive attitude, resolving past conflicts, etc are the main ingredient of the book which are actually ignored due to lack of understanding or less time for self. The result being, it over-powers and drains out our energy effecting the human psychology & physical health. Short stories, guided steps to overcome shortcomings, meaningful quotes from renowned scholars, simple & effective write-up helps us to move onto next level towards self-grooming.
Even though the author mentioned that no part of this book is true, it's just his perspective, still, this book acted like a self-help book to me. I loved how easily the author explained the complicated topics. The quotation at the start of each chapter was refreshing too.
The most attractive part of this book was its title as it implied and ignited lots of questions in my mind and motivated me to lurk into reading. The book cover gave a pleasant atmosphere. I simply loved how beautifully the author portrayed the chapters and gave meaning to every single line.
The most important part of reading this book was exploring that there is always a purpose in everyone's life. Prioritizing it and working hard to fulfil our dreams is something we all desire. The life lessons I got to learn would surely help me for the rest of my life.
A book that can be categorized as an effective all-time motivational read. Whenever you lack purpose in life, all you need to do is flip the pages of this book and then you can start afresh. A must-read book!
