This was book 2 in the
"Filthy Billionaires"
series. This was a really good read Lexi Anderson is on a date with David the night Maddie and Evan engagement party when she meets a hot sexy Alpha male Ash Grayson. When she gets a note to meet him in a room she thinks it's from David but ends up sleeping with Ash and it was the best sex of her life. Ash wants Lexi and will do anything to keep her safe. I liked both of these characters but Lexi had this notion about the perfect man for her that she missed some pretty big red flags about David I mean they dated for 5 months and never slept together. While on a another date with David he drugs her and she runs into Ash who takes her away he told her to stay away from him but she won't listen until she finds proof for herself. Turns out David is a Russian spy. Ash started getting close to her for the wrong reasons be he gained real feelings for her. Lexi is hurt and refuses to talk him. This was a really good read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading about Gwen and what happened to her.

About the Story: From their moment of contact, Lexi and Ash share an incredibly intense attraction. After a strange misunderstanding and a failed proposition, a night of passion sets the two ablaze. Neither could deny the other, even if they wanted to do so. Do they have what it takes to keep their fire burning beyond the bedroom?
About the Conflict: Poor communication, a cloak of intrigue, betrayal, manipulations, selfish pursuits, and more pepper this story from the beginning. What I thought was happening was completely different than I had anticipated. Readers who enjoy stories about a dom-submissive relationship will get this one. Be forewarned that this book is a scorcher.

I was looking on my Kindle for something spicy and easy to read while I was between books and this was exactly what I expected. Yes the spice was good and there was a lot but what little plot there was felt rushed to get back to the sex. The whole Disneyland date was bizarre. David being a Russian spy was out of nowhere.
I did not read the first one because I got this one free on a stuff your kindle day so I was unaware it was part of a series. I feel like the first book probably has a lot of basic plot points that were skipped in this one. The whole club/restaurant/sex club place probably was explained better in book one.
The end with Gwen's kidnapping did peak my interest for sure.

Lex and Ash’s story was such a wild ride !!! After Maddy and Evan, I was so curious about another book from this author that I needed to read this one. I expected something wild, spicy and incredibly intense … and the author delivered !!!!
Again we have bdsm, again with have a dynamic between two people figuring with one wanting power and the other wanted to relinquish it.
This time though … ASH HAD SUCH A WAY WITH WORDS !!! His freaking mouth could say the worst things with the best sounds!!!
And the nicknames ????? Loved them !!!!
A good possessive obsessive behaviour in a quite intense romance.
Once again I found myself completely hooked by the story and the spicy scenes ,albeit a lot, felt good distributed in the book. Don’t get me wrong, it very much was a very very very spicy book, pushing boundaries when the characters didn’t even know they wanted it. But it’s the second time, reading this series that I really enjoyed how the author put a bit of a mystery and action in the story.
And that epilogue ??? Absolutely loved it!!! I don’t know how she does it but she always leaves me with a terrible need to get to the next book in the series !!! Believe you’ll feel the same once you get to the last chapter !!!! I already can’t wait for the third book in this series to be out !!!

Ugh, I really liked this book. But, I feel like there was a lot of information missing, like why David was doing the things he was doing. More information about Lexi and her relationship with her mother. And most importantly, more information about Ash. There were too many unanswered questions for me to give this book anything above a 3. Nonetheless, I will read the rest of the series. Hopefully the next books have more info lol.

This was the first novel I had read by Evelyn Austin. I went into it without any real expectations other than that it would most likely fall more into the erotica side of romance novels. Of course, I don't mind this at all - and it didn't disappoint.
This is the second book in a series. They can be read as standalones, which is what I did with this novel. However, like most standalone series, characters from prior novels do appear and there is always a chance it could help bring to light some things, but by no means required to read the book.
Normally, I don't start with the spice... but I felt the spiciness was one of the biggest redeeming qualities of this novel. I would give it a three-point-five chili-peppers out of five chili-peppers. (Please, keep in mind this is my personal opinion; it may be more or less for you.) There is no shortness of praise, spanking, discipline and just general BDSM spicy scenes throughout the book. It starts off this way burning bright and continues to do so, even as the characters relationship progresses.
Ash is our main man; he is hot beyond hot. He is cocky, confident and oh so obsessed with Lexi. One thing he also is would be a possessive dominant with a heavy emphasis on possessive. His dirty talking game was on point, as was his prowess in the bedroom. Ash is also very vague with what he does, and secretive - for a reason.
Lexi is annoying. There truly is no other way to put it. I had hoped that there were be some redemption... but there wasn't. She came off as flighty and honestly - a gold digger - when we first met her. Her lack of knowing what she wanted in life became very frustrating. The back and forth she went with Ash and her supposed "boyfriend" left a bad view of her in my mind. That is how she was throughout this whole book. It wasn't a good look for her. Her roommate Gwen was more interesting to me.
When it comes to the story as a whole the plot is good. There was definitely some suspense, but questions that one could speculate about, but never one hundred percent sure about. Some twists and turns - a few you could see coming, and others that added a good surprise. It was the storyline and plot - though rushed in my humble opinion - that saved this story for me in a way that I am willing to give another one a shot. I am was also intrigued with the setup for what I am assuming will be Gwen's story.
I would recommend strictly based the spicy scenes. Going into this I knew it would be more erotica based, with some plot. However, if I was going based on character development and plot... I am not convinced I would recommend as often, or only would to particular reader friends.

This was a pretty good story. I read it on Kindle Vella and I'm considering buying it as an ebook once it's released next year. The fact that I'm willing to spend more money on it should say something about how much I liked it. I will be honest and say that there were a few times when her acquiescence to him demands infuriated me, hence the 4*s instead of 5. For instance, any time she wanted to know something that he didn't want to talk about with her, he would destract her by manipulating her desires. I'm all for some gratification, but sometimes I felt like enough was enough.
Lexi was an interesting character, but she waffled a lot. She was always playing the good girl, but her 'good girl' pesona was a bit much in the beginning. Also, her quick dismissal of Ash after their first 'encounter' was a bit unbelievable. What woman is really gonna turn her back on a guaranteed 'good ride' for a man who hasn't even tried to get past first base? Ash was a sure thing, in more ways than one, yet she was willing to walk away from him for a man who ditched her and basically refused to further their relationship, at least not until it suited him.
My only con with Ash was... well... honestly... his constant evasion of her questions, which was explained later, so I guess I really don't have any for him.

This is the 2nd book of the Filthy Billionaires interconnected standalone series. Each book follows a different set of characters and can be read as a stand-alone but to get the most of the story it is suggested to read the books in order.
I could not put this book down. This was suspenseful and fast paced. Ash gives off ALL the possessive dominant vibes you could dream of 🥵 Lexi accidentally end’s up in Ash’s hotel bed after her friends engagement party. After one wild night Ash deemed Lexi his, and he’s going to make sure she knows it.

You spend the first half of the book knowing there’s something fishy going on behind the scenes but are still trying to figure out what… and Ash is obviously not telling Lexi the whole story. Lexi gives off a fairly innocent vibe in the beginning but it takes Ash no time at all to start drawing her darker desires out. This couple was explosive and intense. Ash has a mouth made for a dominant book boyfriend and he did not disappoint. If he wasn’t dirty talking he was being what you could probably consider sweet talking. 😏
This was my first book by this author and I didn’t realize when I started that it was an interconnected series, and while I wish I would have read book one first, I didn’t feel like I was missing anything major for this story. I will however be going back to read book one and with the epilogue/cliffy leading into Gwen’s book, you can bet I’ll be counting down the days till that one releases too!

One accidental super steamy night in the sheets with a stranger turns into a passionate, dominant and very hot needy romance.
Lexi was just trying to woo her date, her on and off again man David however seems very uninterested and loves to disappear even in the middle of parties...leaving her alone to become prey to a dark, handsome, British stranger.
She thought the note to the hotel room was from David.
Was she in for the surprise of her life.
She's now in Ash's hands...and no matter how many times she tries to talk away or play it safe...she's craving him just as much as he's saying he wants her.
He wants her all too himself. A man who says he doesn't have time to make such commitments she is needing and planning. Things get complicated with grabby women, misunderstood overheard phone calls and being told to stay away from danger...not realising how close she actually is to it already.
It was hot. It was dramatic. It was intense. I loved it.
Reading the first book was enticing but the second one most definetely was my favourite and am happy I was introduced to the series. Lexi, if the man gets you enough to take to the most magical place on earth - excluding orgasm heaven - marry him! Ignore every other man and just bounce on him happily for the rest of your life! Ash, my man, loving the dominance. The man is suave and smooth as all hell. The guy is literally doing very little to persuade Lexi to stay with him and it is both wonderfully antagonising and delicious.
Cannot wait for what is next! Gwen's story is already getting wild!

It was hot. It was dramatic. It was intense. I loved it.
Reading the first book was enticing but the second one most definetely was my favourite and am happy I was introduced to the series. Lexi, if the man gets you enough to take to the most magical place on earth - excluding orgasm heaven - marry him! Ignore every other man and just bounce on him happily for the rest of your life! Ash, my man, loving the dominance. The man is suave and smooth as all hell. The guy is literally doing very little to persuade Lexi to stay with him and it is both wonderfully antagonising and delicious.
Cannot wait for what is next! Gwen's story is already getting wild!

Frustrated that said escort seems to be missing for much of the evening, Lexi doesn't linger as she realises that Ash means danger….
So who is this impeccably dressed dominant British man of mystery?
Ooooh Ash…..a character with more layers than your average onion. Smouldering, sexy and so very much in charge.
Accidental Mistress is steam, lust and more steam and lust all wrapped up in an intriguing tale of spies and potential espionage. The main characters are excellently developed throughout and finally we have a feisty, strong heroine who takes no prisoners and knows what she wants or does she? It seems that Ash never lets another's demands get in the way of his….
I am sorry to have knocked off a star but I desperately wanted to hear Ash's point of view and this is told only by Lexi. No criticism of the author, just my personal preference.
The plot is well rounded with a finale I didn't see coming.
SO worth the read.

It’s finally time to find out the story between Lexi and mystery man Ash and oh my is this man hot!
I completely understood why Lexi had her two-year plan and why it was important to her. I admired her for trying to uphold it but did it really stand a chance when true love was involved?!
Ash is something else! That man had me in his clutches, especially with the nicknames and his mouth, he certainly had a way with words.

I enjoyed the plot and the ‘dance’ between Ash and Lexi. The spice was good but I felt there was a power imbalance between the two main characters.
I like Lexi but sometimes I feel like she deserves a knock on the hand for putting herself in danger.
I love how the author uses the last chapter to introduce a new book and can’t wait to read Gwen’s story.
Also, Ash’s backstory was not given despite the several times Lexi raised the issue we still weren’t told the story.

This is a great addition to a wonderful series. I was captivated from the first page and couldn't put it down. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between Lexi and Ash is extremely hot. The storyline is fantastic. I can't wait to read more from the series. Highly recommend reading this book.

Sizzling
This book was different from what I usually read but I found it to be enjoyable. However, I would have liked more information about the boyfriend that was arrested. Why did he want to marry Lexi? The book would have been so much better if the author expanded on that part of the story.

It was aight. I started the book around 8 pm and I wrapped it up at 12:50 am. This plot was quite weird because I thought the man guy was a mafia boss which I wonder why I thought that but eh it was aight.

So Good! This book was just as good as the first one, if not better. These books might not feature the same couple, but they are all intertwined and I think best read in order.

Premise was more interesting than the first one and I did like it more overall. Unfortunately, still oorly written and sloppy characterization. The “twist” was somewhat interesting, but the FMCs motivations never made sense and the MMC was inconsistent
